Diagnosed with cancer in the Brachial Plexus - secondary Breast cancer

PHESGO IMMUNOTHERAPY: Has anyone been taking PHESGO FOR over a year now? This is an immunotherapy drug used initially alongside Taxol chemotherapy, but now prescribed 3-weekly as an injection in my thigh. I am hoping there might be someone like me (secondary breast cancer) who may be able to share their own experiences and any side effects?

Is there anyone else on this forum who has cancer that has spread from breast to the Brachial Plexus?

Dear Positive41

Sorry you have secondary breast cancer…I hate to ask this question, but what is the brachial plexus? having three weekly injections must be unpleasant but better than the alternative.

Taxol is from a drug refined from yew trees I think, I specialise in odd facts plus my Dad worked for the Forestry Commission. I don’t have secondary breast cancer but I do feel for you.

As somehow I saw there were others on this website who like me were diagnosed with metastases cancer in my brachial plexus left shoulder after nearly a year of being overlooked by me Gp entirely plus even an MRI done in Oxford misdiagnosed me again with radiation damage there caused they said by prior radiotherapy for an earlier breast cancer diagnosis. I returned to
My oncologist in London in severe pain / quite excruciating and told them about my history up until that point. I had no motor mivement bun that time at all in my left arm hand whatsoever plus severe Lymphodema. My oncologist and radiotherapy consultant organised a biopsy where cancer of the brachial was diagnosed. It had spread significantly in the long intervening time. However I was given chemotherapy for about 5 months weekly plus 3 weekly PhESGO too and I’ve made a miraculous recovery. 3.5 years on whilst I am grade 3 cancer now I lead a full
Life. Without chemo and my oncologist arranging that biopsy I was told I would have died within the next few months!!! So to anyone who reads this please press for chemotherapy as it might help you too!!!
