I was diagnosed Friday, and I’m just taking it in. I would really appreciate a buddy to talk to if anyone lives anywhere near Chesham Bucks.

Glad you found us & welcome.
Hopefully one of the others will be near you, but do come & chat or vent here whenever you need to, we’ve all been there or are going through it.
it is a shock getting diagnosed, but it does settle down once your teatmemt plan is in place & you know where you’re going with it all.

I’m waiting on an MRI result next week to confirm treatment, but initial expectation / hope is op followed by radiotherapy. My family are all shell shocked and I find myself being strong for them. Not sure that’s how I really feel though

I think quite a lot of us feel or have felt like that, Janie.
Yes, we don‘t want loved ones to be worried or upset,
which is way telling them is so hard, however, it can also feel a bit liberating to put yourself first in dealing with this as well.
