so I got my biopsy results back today. I have got invasive ductal carcinoma- grade 3, triple positive with spread to lymph nodes in my arm pit.
I am 36 and have 5 year old twins. I have had a full hysterectomy 3 years ago for endometriosis and have been in the menopause since then and on HRT and progesterone which have now stopped
Is anyone else triple positive and started treatment?
I have mri and ct scan booked, seeing breast surgeon on Friday and oncology Monday
Hi, I just wanted to reach out and offer you a virtual hug. I was diagnosed with the same as you at 36. I also have endometriosis and twins ! You are in the most difficult phase waiting for tests, results and planning. Once you have a plan, it does get better. Your twins will certainly be keeping you busy and that’s the best distraction whilst waiting. Treatment will be a faff, juggling your family but it will certainly be manageable with support from friends and family. I am now 56 and my twins are heading for university next year, and I look back on my treatment times as a bit of a blur. You will come out the otherside, and be able to find a new normal . I hope your plan comes swiftly. Best wishes.
I am 33 and was diagnosed in October as having IDC triple positive. I had my lumpectomy surgery in November and started chemo on Christmas eve.
You’re in the really hard bit at the moment waiting for the treatment plans to be made but things happen really quickly. I’m happy to help with any questions at all.
I’m sorry that you’ve found yourself on this forum. I was where you are a year ago having been diagnosed with triple positive BC in November 2024. I found the HER2+ and need some buddies thread an invaluable source of support and advice. It had been going for a year so it was about a 4 hour read from start to finish but well worth it. Probably 12 hours a year on.
Ours is a long treatment path so I found it helpful and reassuring to read that those that went before me had got through it as am I.
Lots of sage advice, humour, signposting and a safe space to share.
