Hi everyone, I was diagnosed yesterday I will add what my report says.
Multifocal left breast carcinoma
Core biopsy 2 sites,
Site 1 Grade 3 NST ER 8/8 PR 4/8 HER2 negative
Site 2 shows Grade 2 NST with DCIS ER 7/8 PR 0/8 HER2 negative with normal axilla
When I had my referral they said my tumours was 17mm so of course I came home and googled and that was relatively small. However they said I had microcalcifications around it and the whole area was measuring 75mm.
At my appointment yesterday, and in my notes it says the whole area is 75mm. Are they saying the whole 75mm is invasive cancer? Or do you think they are treating it all as invasive as they have stated it’s a mix between dcis and idc!
Heads a mess!

Hi sorry to hear that it is scary at first but keep going with each step and I found the teams to be so helpful and knowledgeable. My surgeon was lovely when I got to that stage and now having chemo, teams of nurses and doctors are really on point. I can’t say don’t worry as I know we all do, but take time to process get information ask questions and take someone with you if you can to absorb information you might miss. Take time to self care and manage the shock. Have some occasional treats are always a good thing for us going through this process take care
Hi - so sorry to you are in the club too. You’ll be ok though - just a day at a time and once you have a lan things are so so much easier. The waiting is the absolute worst.
My tumour was 37mm and when they removed all the tissue the whole tumour was 51mm. So your actual tumour is 17mm - this is what they use to give you a plan etc.
Hope that helps Sxx
