Hi Olly,
Anyway, first of all, welcome to the forum although sorry you are joining us.
Feeling scared & a bit shocked is quite normal & we’ve all been there. It is also quite usual to notice aches & pains, simply because of the stress & anxiety that goes with the early days of diagnosis. It is rarely anything more than that.
Honestly, the feelings that we all experience at this time, does subside when the treatment plan is in place & you know what you’really dealing with. It is the uncertainty when just diagnosed which makes it such a difficult period, but it does pass.
Do use this site or Macmillan for info, & as we say a lot on here, google is best avoided at this stage as it only creates more anxiety & doesn’t change anything. There is a time & place for google, but usually not in the early days. Your team will give you all the info you need & do come & chat or vent on here whenever you need to.
Thankfully, although it doesn’t feel like it, being diagnosed means it can now be dealt with. There are many of us here who are further down the road & out the other side.

Hi Ann-m thank you so much for your positive message. I have heated that my MRI is on 17/5 then I will see the consultant not sure when as Nurse wasn’t sure when results would be ready so could be 19/5 or 26/5. Thanks again.
Hi Ollybobs, sorry you’re here, but it is a good place to be for help and advice. I had ductal breast cancer, but the lobular ladies will pick this up and message you soon. Yes, it is normal to feel aches and pains - I remember it well. You are probably in shock, you think it can’t be happening to you , and you are terrified it has spread . That’s because your poor mind has gone into overdrive, you’ll find a lot of ladies come on here and tell you they were the same . I found keeping a diary of my feelings was quite therapeutic , and I wrote down questions I wanted answers to from the consultant . Also, physical exercise was really helpful for me. A short walk to clear the mind, plus a coffee in a sweet place. Others have taken up a hobby to occupy their minds. Diverting it away from those dratted aches. Sending you a hug. X
Great to hear from you Anniej. I have a dog so will take him out in a. It for a stroll to clear my mind. A diary also sounds a good idea. Thank you xx
Hi Ollybobs. I was diagnosed on 29th march, mine is lobular too. I found the biopsies were quite painful for a while after too, I am also noticing every ache and pain. I also had an mri, it does get easier with every extra result/information you get, at least then you know what you are dealing with. Big hugs
Thank you eggster. Have you had your operation yet? How did you find the MRI? Hope you are feeling ok. It’s good to hear of others going through the same xx
Hi Ollybobs, Sorry to hear you have joined our club but we are very supportive here. I’m 48 and was diagnosed at the end of March with stage 2 invasive locally advanced BC including local nodes. The tumour us too large for surgery and is diffuse (unclear margins). I was told I would need 8 rounds of chemo before surgery. I had my first chemo on 27th April and it’s been much easier than expected. I was just like you in the early days and made myself ill with anxiety and obsessed over every ache and pain in my body. This is natural after being given such a life changing piece of news. Once your treatment plan is in place it gets easier, in the meantime focus on getting yourself nice and healthy ready for treatment and come here if you need to feel less isolated from those around you. It certainly works for me. Take care. Xx
Mai7 great to hear from you. Sorry to hear you have BC. Thank you for your positive words of encouragement. Hope your chemo continues to go well. Hope to chat with you again soon xx
Hi all I had surgery yesterday for invasive ductile cancer which is er+
I’m black and blue right round my back. Is this normal. I had sentinel nodes removed as well as the cancer. I feel ok so have been pottering about is this ok? Should I be resting more.
