I will be going through a DIEP next month and was told by my surgeon I would need to stop taking letrozole two weeks before and two weeks after since it increases my chances of a blood clot. Is this standard procedure for anyone else who has had a delayed DIEP?
Hi ,was on Tamoxifen. and told to come off it 2 weeks before an orthopaedic op as it can affect blood clotting not sure if it’s the same with Letrozole , you could ask about this in the Ask the Nurses section ?
