Hi. Id really appreciate peoples experiences. I had Licap surgery, which then resulted in further surgery (tumour was bigger than originally thought) of mastectomy/implant surgery last year. Caught sepsis and implant had to be removed quickly. I have recently spoken with Plastic Surgeon who would carry out a DIEP reconstruction. But this sounds like massive surgery. Surgery on stomach, breast, then breast reduction on other breast to match things up.
I would need surgery anyway. I had LICAP surgery prior to mastectomy, so still have the licap flap inside the breast which will need removing.
Has anyone experienced this and either gone for a complete mastectomy or diep reconstruction?
