I think the first couple of months felt like the progress was really slow…Now I feel nearly back to normal. I’ve had a delay getting back to any fitness as I ended up with a prolapse because they closed the stomach up too tight! I’ve just had the meeting for my phase 2 - it won’t be for another 3 months at least. I have pretty bad cording which I"m having massage for - hopefully it will improve. I’ve been told I have to put weight on before my phase 2 - not easy to put on weight in specific areas! How are you feeling about your surgery, not long now xx

Hi. It’s good to hear that you are nearly back to normal now, but sorry to hear about your complications. It’s all a bit scary isn’t it. I had been wondering about fitness too. I do classes with weights and body combat etc but I’m guessing it will be a while.
What is your phase 2 for? Was your DIEP using tummy fat?

I’m sorry to hear yours didn’t work out but 
for the next stage, not long now. Had it done on 17th and wiped me out and had some set backs due to coughing which took me straight back to post surgery day, but much better now. They have done my tummy really tight too but no issues so far, but I am worried it’s so tight and it doesn’t even look flat or any kind of shape yet. I’m using compression garments on my tummy as it feels better with this on and I can’t eat meals like I use to, I suppose everything’s swollen still?
As for you putting on weight, I had to for this and I didn’t eat more just more full fat/ sugary stuff which gave me more of a belly to use 
But now I’m in my gp today as they now thing I have skin cancer ( on the same side as my breast) which has developed fast following my mastectomy a few months ago. One thing after another at the moment but staying strong for my boy, he needs his mummy!

@tiamaria my phase 2 will be some fat addition, an uplift to the good side so they sit at the same height a bit more and the nipple creation - I also have some scar tissue which he will try to loosen up. Yes they used my tummy fat for the original x

@momarie19 thank you, I’m feeling ok about it most of the time its the rabbit hole moments and when. I look in the mirror… I’m so sorry to hear about the skin cancer, thats so tough on top of everything else. I hope that its something they can take care of swiftly for you so you can start to move forward. Sending positive thoughts x
I’m so sorry to hear that, that really is rotten luck. I hope they can sort that out quickly and without too much trauma to go through.
