Hi caca11

You might be interested in a factsheet which Breast Cancer Care produces on the subject of diet and breast cancer.

I have given the link here to the publication which can be either downloaded or ordered through this website.

I do hope it is helpful.

Hi Caca

Why have they told you to follow this diet? there are lots of theories out there on what may or may not be good post breast cancer, but the rules aren’t hard and fast, and lots of people are advised everything in moderation. Some people do prefer to cut out dairy etc…

I guess you’d basically eat lots of fruit and veg, replace things like white bread, white pasta and white rice with the brown varieties, eat lentils, beans and pulses. If you’re giving up dairy you can have things like rice milk on cereal (Tesco do this) no cheese, milk or yoghurt etc.

But, if you’re being told to do this I’d ask if they can give you factsheets or perhaps refer you to a nutrionist who can talk you through options. I was told not to cut out anything completely although I have upped my fruit and veg intake and have less red meat and dairy
