Wondering if anyone has experience of this? My baseline CT showed “some small nodules of uncertain significance”. My next CT scan, during chemo for TNBC, showed they’d vanished - which obviously concerns me as that makes me think they were cancer and responding to the chemo.
My next CT scan also showed no lung nodules, but that was two weeks after finishing chemo so if they were cancerous, they wouldn’t have had a chance to come back.
My oncologist hasn’t seemed overly concerned about this, but that seems to be his manner anyway. I’m having another CT scan in August.
Has anyone had lung nodules disappear during chemo that turned out to be benign? Or at least presumed so? It’s getting to me quite a bit at the moment!
Before my recurrence dx I had a CT due to breathing difficulties which showed a groundglass nodule. CT repeated at 3 months showed it had resolved and put down to inflammation but then a week later I was dx with bc recurrence. Im still worrying it was linked.
Im sure it wasnt but there’s always a niggle isnt there? I hope all goes well for you xx
Hi @bel3 yes I too had a CT scan of chest abdomen and pelvis in June before my chemo started in July. Apparently they noticed a sub pleural nodule which they didn’t think was metastatic but advised a follow up CT be performed in 3 months time. This was done in November and it was noted that the nodule had reduced in size but now a second nodule of 6mm was seen and my lymph nodes were up. So a further CT chest recommended and an ultrasound scan of my armpit which I’m still awaiting an appointment. Fingers xd it’s nothing else to worry about
