Hello, My mum had a lumpectomy and nodes removed almost 3 months ago. The lump was cancer but nodes were clear. They managed to completely remove the lump and surrounding tissue. After ultrasounds and mammography they were happy everything was clear. She then had 3 weeks of radiotherapy which finished 2 weeks ago. Yesterday she noticed redness around the nipple and some discharge. Obviously she is now very anxious that cancer has returned already. Could this happen so soon?
