Hi did anyone watch the show last night on itv after x factor results. It was in aid of breast cancer and all top divas singing. They also had reports on what people had done to raise money and a few brought tears to my eyes. I thought this was a gt idea. it was held in London somewhere. It always amazes me we never hear about things so can buy tickets and go but perhaps they are all for the wealthy who donate to our cause. There seems to be lots supporting it recently so hopes of us getting better.x
Julie.
Did watch it and have commented on another thread. Great singers.
Did you see the woman hosting the programme, thought her top was awful. Even my trendy kids commented on her boobs in it.
Rather insensitive for the nature of the prog. Made me feel sad for the boob i have lost.

i agree what other thread is it on and under what section please. i agree with the tops they were all wearing very low cut tops showing off perfect breasts it did make me sick and thought they haven’t a clue what we r going through. At least they have raised some money though for us.x

Ladies, I attended the show last Sunday (recorded at ITV studios in London). Was a guest of Breakthrough as a thank you treat for some publicity bits I have done recently (story in Real People and GMTV interviews about the recent survey results published by them). There were 4 x charities represented, Breakthrough, BCC, Haven and Breast Cancer Campaign - each being given 100 tickets, plus ITV were given 100 tickets. They were given to people who had helped the charity, fundraisers, staff of the charities etc and no-one actually paid to attend (as far as I understand). The show was to mark the end of BC Awareness Month and a good excuse for a party!!
Until I read the posts on here regarding Mylene Klass’ dress, I hadnt given it a thought and can understand that some of you may feel that her outfit was inappropriate for the show. I dont really feel that it was the show or Mylene’s fault regarding the dress and think that they would be upset if they know that some ladies were offended. The show was not organised by people directly involved in BC (ITV even kept guests waiting 50mins in the pouring rain outside before the show - not very good for some people like me that are still recovery and found standing for that long quite hard work) and , as you rightly say, people outside our ‘world’ dont have a clue what we go/have been through.
It was a great night, a chance to celebrate being alive and to feel like a Diva!!!

My daughter aged 24 shaved her hair for BCC and raised over £4500, they gave her 2 tickets for the show. I was unable to go so she went with her sister - they both enjoyed it

i am glad that tickets went to people who had done things for the charities its a lovely way to thank everyone on all our behalves. i hope they do something similar next year for all our hard working supporters and fundraisers. thanks again
