Hi Has anyone experienced dizziness while taking Tamoxifen?
I have been taking it now since January 09 and for the last month (since my Rads finished) I find when I lie down, or sit up after being laid down, I go giddy or dizzy for a few seconds. In the last 10 dyas it has happened a few times when I bend down as well. Just wondering if this is yet another side effect or should I be off to the GP for further investigation?
Hi wendle sorry to hear of your dizziness I have been on Tam.since last december but have not had this se.Maybe bettert check with bc. nurse or your own doctor. There are so many se everyone is different.Hope you get on okay. Joyce xx
Love your cat pic. I suffer dizzy spells with tamoxifen. Have found since taking it my blood pressure is very low hence I get dizzy and almost faint if I bend or stand too quick. Best just to check it out with your BC nurse.
thanks Joyce and Judy for your replies, I have not logged on for a few weeks now so have only just caught up.
My blood pressure is low so that is what is causing it. Have to see the doc soon so will mention it again.
Hope you are “all on the up”
love Wendy
Me too. I am just comming up to one year on Tamoxifen and have started having serious hot flushes with nausea and dizziness. Never know wether to blame the T. or something else !!

I have been on Tamoxifen for 3 months now and one SE was dizziness with nausea - the doctor gave me Valoids and I now take up to three a day but I have improved recently and dont get it as much.
The SE have calmed down a lot and now I have lost weight, and only have joint ache, fluid retention and nightsweats. I have tabs for fluid retention that I didnt know I had and went to the docs for joint pain explanation and he said your ankles are swollen and fingers - I just thought it was the weight I had gained - ha!
I really think that we are all different but with time the body does do wonderful things - like heal. I do eat differently, cut out meat and have a constant temperature at home - eg., usually cool with a window drught throughout.
I think that you must see a doctor with any worrying symptoms just to make sure.
I had Dizziness and also difficulty in walking, but we need to keep one thing in mind that generic nolvadex reacts with few medications and increases the side effects. Those medications are Bosentan, Bromocriptine, Delavirdine and few other you can find the full list at International Drug Mart
I have been on Tamoxifen since Feb 08 and until about 6 weeks ago the only severe side effects I suffered were hot flushes and night sweats. Over the past few weeks I have been getting mild dizzy spells when I stand and it’s like it takes a while for my legs to react and walk! I am also getting mild stomach aches and nausea.
