Dizziness

Good evening

I wonder if you can help please…. I finished radiotherapy 6 weeks ago (I didn’t have chemo). I’ve had a couple of dizzy spells that don’t last too long (probably about 15 mins) In just wondering if that is quite normal after radiotherapy or if I need to get it checked out? I had high grade DCIS - 3 x wide local excisions and 5 x radiotherapy. Thank you.

Please do get this checked out with your team  always best to get them to check you over to be sure all ok  it could be something as simple as upping your fluid intake but do please get your team to check you over  please let us know how you get on :two_hearts::two_hearts::sparkles::sparkles:Shi xx

Are you sure it isn’t the drugs (if ypu are taking any)? I started on Letrozole while waiting for radiotherapy and I had dizzy spells. They did pass after a while. Tell your BCN in case it needs checking out xx

Hi 947902

Thank you for posting about the recent dizzy spells you have been experiencing. Radiotherapy does not usually cause dizziness, and it is difficult to say what is causing your symptoms. Dizziness can be caused by a number of different conditions including low blood pressure so it is important to report your symptoms to your treatment team or GP, as @Shi says. They will be able to assess you properly and advise if any treatment is required.
