Hi
I have had 2 sessions of docetaxel and have 2 more to go. I have just started to get aching knees and legs, so did the stupid thing and googled it and read these effects can last long term after treatment has ended.
So has anyone got experience of longterm side effects ?
Gosh I cant wait for all this to be over 
feeling so fed up of feeling rough all the time.

I have just completed 4 lots of chemo including docetaxel, i have also had achey legs, knees and shoulders and sometimes across my chest as well. i mentioned to oncologist and she said is side effect and she hopes i will be much better when she sees me at end of herceptin, in a years time!!! great eh.

Sounds like the crystalline metabolites depositing in the tendon sheaths and synovium of the joints. Try some simple analgesia like acetaminophen (paracetamol) or my oncologist has recommended pregabalin but I have not tried it.
