I have got to claim ESA I have sec to lungs do I claim through special rules I’ve rung them today they was no help kpt saying have u got 6 months to live anyone else claimed do I do it under the special rules many thanks laura

you can claim under special rules, thaat doesn’t mean to say you have 6 months to live. I claimed under special rules nearly two years ago and I’m still here.
I don’t know what advise you’ve been give but it might be an idea to get referred to a macmillan nurse they are very helpful and will help you fill the form in.
Under special rules you will not be have to fill the whole form in, either get your gp or oncologist to sign it off for you.

Hope its helps and good luck with everything. By the way ESA it different from DLA. You can claim both and they will put you in the support group which is an extra £30.00 on top of your benefit.

Hi thanks yea I’ve got dla but they gave it to me for 3 yrs but when I rung ESA today to ask about special rules she kpt on saying oh well u have only 6 months to live then ugh no I just told u I gave up in end she went if y still here in 6 months they won’t pay
