Dressing removal tips?

I wonder if anyone had any tips for removing plaster marks after dressings had been removed. I had mine removed on Wednesday (had WLE & lymph nodes) told by the nurse not to have a bath for 24 hours. Had a good long soak last night (heaven) but even though I used soap I still have plaster marks. I don’t want to scrub too hard as obviously I am still quite tender. I did try again this morning with wet wipes but they are still there. I am going to see consultant next tuesday for results and I don’t want him to think I haven’t showered or bathed for weeks!!! Any tips would be gratefully received.

hi sunshine, try baby oil on cotton wool. worked for me alex xx

Thanks Alex, I will give it a try this evening x

I had an awful job with mine but was recommended by someone on here to get some stuff from the chemists called Zoff. That did work when I left it on for a few minutes before cleaning it off.It was expensive though- about £5 from Boots.

I used olive oil and kitchen roll - worked a treat. Any oil will do actually. Comes off quite well, little bit of rub but nothing harsh xx

Pumice stone with soap just touch it v gentle comes straight off and cheap to

try nail varnish remover …gently !

I used the bio oil I had got to rub on the scars. Nice smell it has too.

Thanks for all your tips ladies, I have managed to get the pesky marks off now with gentle rubbing with baby oil. Whilst I am here, can I ask if it is ok to start using bio oil on my scars? It will be two weeks on Tuesday since op.
Many thanks
