dripping nose

Hi ladies,

Thanks for all the replies, it makes me feel less ‘freakish’. I was also glad, glad?is that the right word to hear that Sarah 4 also had a twitching eye and others had bloody noses. I had one on Saturday, as I have never had one in my life it was quite scary. They were other symptoms I have been getting, even went to the doctors to check is was nothing, I really can calm down now.

Topper I like the fashion tip, Tracy welcome to the club as long as my toe nail doesn’t have to drop off.

Thanks again ladies

Carol

Hi ladies,

can I too join the runny nose club?? I’ve only had 3 Herceptin so far, but for a week or 2 after each one I have permanently runny nose and its quite embarrassing!! I’m scared to leave the house without a years supply of Kleenex about my person!!

Hi Kelly
Nice to see you again, I have just had my 3rd herceptin as well… Yes do join our runny nose club, this is certainly the more the merrier.

Hi all,

I had my 4th Herceptin at home, what luxury no waiting for hours at the clinic.
The runny nose continues and my eyes have come out in sympathy. I have just arrived home from a weekend in Derbyshire where my family said I looked as if I had been on a windswept moor for a fortnight.
Oh the joys of treatments.

Take care

Carol

I’d forgotten about the runny nose!! I was on tax and it ran a marathon every day, and more so whilst I was eating! It does dry up in time though.

I lost a couple of toenails and fingernails during chemo, then they seemed to “bed in” again. Finished chemo early May 07 and blow me down with a feather, didn’t my two big toenails come out with no warning just around Christmastime!

Good luck to us all.
xx

I finished Herceptin in January and still have a runny nose though not as bad as when I was receiving my treatment. I sneezed throughout my year on Herceptin and still do. My onc advised that it will take about 3-4 months for it to be out of my system so I am hoping that the runny nose and sneezing will stop soon.

Take care all

Margaret

Hi all,
I finished chemo before Xmas and my nose is still running, which is annoying when I’m making chocs have to stop all the time! My eyes are much better now though, so hopefully nose will get better.

Hi

I have had 16 cycles of herceptin and have had a runny nose througout, it seems to be worse the first week after herceptin, quite funny acually, i basically cannot read as my desk looking down, i have to lift the document up. Have actually ruined a few documents from the runny nose!!! Don’t really care as long as its doing it job!!!

Can I join the lost nail & runny nose club. I’m getting my 6th herceptin on Fri and my nose has run since the first one in Dec. It looks like it’s set to run till this Dec when I finish. Heather XX

I’m quite depressed now, I thought that once the chemo finished (3 more FEC to go) the runny nose & watery eyes would stop, now you tell me its going to last through Herceptin as well!!! The worst bit is walking the dog twice a day - by the time i’ve crammed my pockets with a handful of tissues, poo bags, treats, mobile phone and keys - I look massive & poo bags fly everywhere every time a take out a tissue! I’ve never mastered the one handed blow either, very inconvenient when one hand is already occupied - any tips? LOL xx
