I was more worried about being sick than any of the other side effects, but I was fine. There are loads of different anti nausea meds, which work in different ways. They started me with something called domperidon(?) and although I wasn’t sick. I felt quite nauseous for the first 24 hours so they changed it to ondasteron (?), and I was fine after that. With taxol I didn’t feel sick at all and cut down slowly on the meds, I met others who did the same.
So make sure you have a contact tel number so you can ring and ask for an alternative prescription - I am sure they will look after you.

hi , tis now 5 days after first fec, and not too bad now! Have very furry funny tasting mouth which means i dont fancy eating/drinking much. Also feel a little tight chested and lack of energy…am hoping it doesnt get any worse. Hows everyone doing?

hi julie, i’m day 13 now and doing ok apart from feeling pretty tired! Day 10 was my lowest day in terms of being exhausted; was bit dizzy too. How ru? Glad the meetup was good! love kathy
Hi Kathy, glad youre doing good, im day 5 post fec2 and still feeling lousy i must say, se seem to be worse this time as was fine after fec1, the anti sickness are def not working the same as 1st time and like you very tired, must stay positive tho eh!!!!! hard sometimes when youre feeling yukky, you take care hunni, be lovely to see you at the next meet, julie xxxx

Going into cherrybrook tomorrow for fec no 2…felt really good this week and had good cmas even tho hair started falling out cmas eve. Got brother to shave it off for me! Really dont want to have to go through this all over again just as i’m feeling better!!

well its now day 5 after 2nd fec… first day out of bed…been so tired but unable to sleep on the wretched steroids! Hopefully will sleep tonight. Managed to get out of house for hour: isnt it weird how life goes on around us???
Mouth feels and tastes disgusting…really hope it passes soon.

im due fec 3 on 7th jan, managed to have a good xmas but the last 2 days have been awful, been really tired and temp up and down, could just curl up in a ball and sleep and sleep which to be honest is what i have done most of today, have to make the effort tonight tho, my sister and her partner are moving to mexico on saturday and its their leaving party tonight, just wish i had some energy!!! hope the se soon pass for you and you soon start to feel human again ( pardon the pun ) hugs julie xxx
Hi Julie…so hope your next dose went well yesterday: been thinking of you. I’m day 11 now and feeling a lot better ,just really tired!! My 8yr old has a funny tummy, so getting anxious i might pick something up!!! Anyway, with you in your yuckiest few hours xx
Hi Kathy, just put a face mask on when you go near her you`re in 7/14 day zone so be bit careful, keep eye on temp, not feeling great after fec3 i must admit, they gave me different anti sickness which seem to be helping, just feeling generally yukky but half way now woo hoo, next lot will be docitaxel, what date is your next 1? chemo brain so cant work it out!!! also we got next meet on weds 12th jan, will you be able to make it? hugs julie xxx
HALF WAY julie…thats such a huge thing…well done…just get through this next week…no more fec for you!!! You should treat yourself with something lovely! I’ve got my last fec on 19th jan ( tax after that)…i’m right behind you! Wheres the next meet going to be? xx
