I think I must be the latter. Thankyou to all the ladies who tried to help me with my query about motorbility cars. Your patience was endless considering I hadn’t put my brain into gear (common occurrence these days)haha. You’ll be pleased to hear I checked my DLA letter of award and surprise surprise I do have higher component of mobility. Why didn’t I just check it first DOH! Never mind hope to sort it soon.
My catalogue of SE from 1st dose of Capectabine continues not only the indigestion, neuralgia pain, sore and cracked lips sore mouth stomach cramps diarrhea dicoloured toe nail really sore and blistered fingers. I now have the dreaded achne rash on my nose of all places. it looks like a nose of frog spawn. My transformation is now complete. From a slimmish blonde bobber (not blonde bomber) to fattish Brown curly haired air head with a tapioca nose haha. Oh happy days, Keep well ladies x
Hi Ianii
I have noticed that there hasnt been any reply to your post. Hopefully this will bump it up for you but if not, I wonder if you would like to post it in the original thread where the conversation was taking place?
Best wishes
Anna
Hope my chemo memeory works OK but wasn’t it today (Friday I thionk - doh!) you were seeing your onc? I can’t see you being denied a dose reduction!! You seem to be a walking example of all the side effects at once! I’m so sorry - it’s not fun but you do seem to be keeping a sense of humour which is so important even if it masks tears.
Let us know how you get on today - if it is today - if you see what I mean…
Nina
Hi Nina got dose reduction but going to have break for few days for fingers to heal but got a shock with results of scan which I had before xmas. It is now in my liver as well as more bone and stomach mets. I knew about bones because of more pain but I have always dreaded hearing its in my liver. Having said that there are so many inspiring stories about people with liver mets surviving longer on this forum. I’m not going to tell my family though particularly my pregnant daughter. Hopefully this chemo will work thats assuming I manage to get it. Hope you’re ok x
Oh thats not good news - but as you say it’s not the death sentence I thought iot was before I developed mets - there are a lot of survivors here which is what keeps you coming back - to get more inspiration.
So long as you unburden somewhere and don’t stew I can understand keeping quiet family wise - but you do need an outlet. Don’t bottle!!
Nina
PS Edited to add - just seen MrsBlue’s post on the liver and bone thread - there’s aboost for you I hope!!
