I have an appointment to have PICC fitted which is on 6th May at 8:30am but before that I have an echocardiogram at 8:15am. I am confused is it both related does anyone know
I didn’t have an echocardiogram separately to my PICC line being fitted but during the process they monitored my heart as the line goes close to it and I had an x-ray to check the line was in the right place. Just as an aside it’s been so helpful having a PICC line and not having to have cannulas for every treatment.

I had a separate appt for my echocardiogram and am on EC and will move on paclitaxel. That’s why I have a baseline echo and will have another one echo after finishing 4 x EC.
I have a port cath.

I had an echo cardiogram about 2 weeks ago, picc line being fitted on Wednesday
