Hi everyone! My tumour was in the left breast, but I was offered a double mastectomy as preventative. I turned this down and opted for just the left mastectomy and asked to come back to do the right in a few years, this just worked for me at the time. However, after a recurrence scare this month (benign - but the mri guided biopsy was zero fun), I’ve decided to just go for the right side mastectomy sooner rather than later- I’m not seeing my surgeon until May, but just wondering how long people were waiting for an elective mastectomy?? I’m hoping it will be done this year but is that too optimistic
