Embarking on an adventure, you are welcome to tag along

Hi Ladies,
One down and one to go, gc bedtime! eldest is watching car racing with his granddad, thought halfterm so no rush to get up!! Lol.

Jackie, we have another one for out list of meet ups in January, Petal5 (Pam) emailed said she reads out thread and would like to meet up, she posts on the mx in early feb thread, so Hi Pam.
You are right Jackie, we don’t have too many dead goats around here, but don’t tell Kanga! can be our secret!
I think Kanga is giving us dud information about herself, then when we meet her we will expect a poor middle aged slightly hefty with knickers falling down, and there she will be size 10, blonde hair little elf face!
You must be getting a name for yourself all these british gas engineers coming to visit!! bit like your abscess, doesn’t want to leave you!! How is it?

Maria, hope you are back with us and had a lovely time with your family.

Elaine, Hope you are well?

Isabelle, Too busy working to pop in now! sounds good to me! hope work is going well, and not too much for you. take it easy.

Gill and l are now facebook friends! and will soon be meeting up, all being well with the world!

K, hope you haven’t caught a chill?

Lesley, How are you doing with all your peachy? and how is that poem coming on?

Saffronseed, it will be lovely to meet up with you in Jan/Feb (Snow permitting) I always did Pilates every week, but not been since being diagnosed. would love to get back to it, but need to be able to do a bit more, my arm is so weak, and it wont go behind my back anymore!!

Tracey, Good Luck with peachy on Tuesday, nearly at the end! One more?

Kanga,Well l have had a good look round, and can’t see your brain anywhere! if l found it, not sure they do a box that small to send it to you!! No you are not hopeless with computers, you don’t want to show your face in case the police recognise you!! No l dont know the feeling of my knickers falling down, well not with my trousers on anyway!! And how can you have put weight on and your knickers still falling down? or have l lost the plot?
Other than a bit tearful, no side effects as yet from Hiya Teardrop.
Poor Jack does he want to go training or is because you fancy the trainer!! sounds sometimes as though you need the training!!
Yes it was Dr Smith in Lost in Space, the little girl that was in the Sound of music played Gretl and was Kym Karath, she was also in Dr Kildare and Lassie!! No she wasn’t Lassie, just played in it!! before your ask!
You lost me on your last post, what happened to me and Nell on our TAX?
Sandie Shaw, she was the one that never wore shoes! and won the Eurovision song contest with Puppet on a string.
Good Luck with your radiologist, and surgeon.

Nell, sorry you are having a rough time with TAX, never really had much pain with it, although thinking now, l think l had a lot of pain the first TAX but after that it was fine!

Carol,Good job you have those strong men to do the heavy work on your allotment! what would we do without these men!!
No not hairy nipples and a beard! l wont know what to comb first!! nipples or beard.

Heather, Hope you are well and busy with your writing

Vickie, hope you sleep well tonight!

Suze keep rubbing that cream in! nearly there

Anne, are you back with us?

Toby is still buried, in fact today l dug him up because l couldn’t see him and thought he had made his way to Australia, he was not a happy bunny so put him back and buried him!! only joking, made lots of nice soft earth for him and he dug his way down, next time we looked he was completely under the earth, put my hands down and l could just about feel him, when l took my hand out, my thumb nail had broken off half way down, it was dead (nail not Toby) looks like a really bad bitten nail! not sure what to do about that, looks awful! not a happy bunny!! anyone know if l can wear false nails until my nails look normal again, or will false nails totally ruind my nails forever!! as if TAX hasn’t done that already!!

Have a bone density scan booked for Monday week, see what state my old bones are in!!
I think it is time for bed, gs went up about an hour ago, yes it has taken me that long to type this, l keep getting phone calls.

We had a lovely time yesterday at toys r us, and then home for tea, not sure toys r us appreciated my granddaughter running off with every pram and princess she saw, and when it came to buying them a toy, she chose a £1.99 pony! take her shopping again! no l am not mean l did also buy her a princess barbie, because she is a typical little girl, and loves being a princess and sulks like one!! eldest grandson looks at her in amazement when she has a sulk! told him, get use to it, because one day you will have your own princess who will sulk!!

Love and Hugs to one and all

Hiya Petal5 Pam and welcome to our proposed meet up in the new year, the more the merrier. Our wise owl says you post on Mx Feb but am sure I have seen you on Arimidex thread too? So Sandra are you on Femara or similar too? DEXA scan was the easiest so far Yes I agree I think Kanga Kris will turn out to be some glam gal and she has been setting us up to believe she is a dowdy drecrepit old woman. Just settled down to watch desparate housewives. Sandra I do not drink gin so that cannot be the cause of my ‘gout’.Love to all you ladies and whatever you are uo to next week. Hugs Jackie

Hi everyone am back…got back late friday evening but had grandson all weekend…am exhausted.
Am due PM no 5 on weds.

The funeral went ok but the shear amount of travelling over the 3 days was exhausting.

Have just read all the posts and hope everyone is getting over all the se.
hope everyone having treatment gets as few side effects as possible.

hugs to each and everyone of you.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for my daughter. She had her appendix out yesterday. She also had some gall stones removed and possibly her gall bladder. She was too groggy from the anaesthetic yesterday to talk to the doctor so will find out today. Don’t know if her surgeon speaks English or if all conversations are in German!! If only I could be there :frowning: Still OH has flown there today so should know more later.

Taxi, hope you get a few days to rest and recover before your next PM. Sounds like you need it!

Jackie, hadn’t heard of gout as a side effect, hope it gets better soon. I’m fed up with side effects, thought that as chemo had finished so would side effects - how wrong I was!! Hope your abscess is finally getting better, sounds like it’s been going on for ever!!

Sandra, I used to watch Lost in Space too, remember hating Dr Smith!! Poor Toby, bet he wasn’t very impressed when you dug him up!! Do you cover him up so Bliss doesn’t dig him up? My nails are looking vey delicate- pink at the bottom and darker /stripey for the top three quarters. I keep them cut short because I’m worried about them catching on things and breaking. They are still painful to the touch as are my tingly toes and fingers. Really struggle putting socks on and have thrown a few pairs awawy because they were too tight!! Won’t it be lovely when all the side effects are fully gone

Kanga, glad you aren’t losing your posts any more  Good luck with your busy day today, hope all goes well. Radiologist and surgeon in one day !! I think I’ll always think of you with your undies coming down  Some images just stick!!!

Carol, Sorry to hear that you are still feeling sick. Hopefully all the fresh air at the allotment helps. Fingers crossed you feel better soon.

Tracey, good luck with your paeachy tomorrow, hopefully won’t be too many side effects. Sorry to hear that you’ve had bad news about a friend. Life is so difficult at times, let’s look forward to good things coming round for us. Thinking of you.

Denise, that Tax truck needs to be taken off the road! I found the joint pain really awful, got stronger pain killers from the dr. Hope you’ve got a lovely warm duvet and you’re on the up now.

Vickie, glad the nytol worked and you are feeling better. Must be very tiring keeping up with your boys. Have a good half term.

Saffronseed, sounds great having a holiday in the sun. Was interested to hear what yuou said about arm exercises and whether to wear a sleeve on the flight. Have got nothing planned yet but will want to fly somewhere next year and it’s something else to consider!! HOpe you had a good weekend.

Isabelle, hope you are still enjoying being back at work and not getting too tired. HOpe your haematoma is easing now. Have a good week.

Jill, hope your rads are going well and you aren’t getting any problems. I’ve got my planning appoointment on Fri so should be starting mine soon. Will be good just to get through all the active treatment. HOpe you are keeping well.

Lesley, Hope side effects from CMF are going now. I’m also coming to the end of my 27 weeks sick and due to go on half pay soon. Never ever dreamed I’d have so much sick time. Haven’t started my rads yet so will be having at least another couple of months off!!

Karen, hope you are ok and enjoyed your photo shoot. sounds like and adventure:)

Heather, haven’t seen you on here for a while, hope all is ok.

Nell, hope all is ok with you.

Maria, hope you had a lovely holiday over here. Haven’t heard ffom you in a while, hope all is hoing well.

Hope I’ve mentioned everyone, have gone back 4 pages and been on here for a couple of hours!! Got up early today, OH was out the door at 5.30 so he could get to Gatwick for his flight.

Time to go and do some cheese on toast, it’s become my favourite snack but since peachy mother have taken to smothering it with tomato ketchup!! Think it’s because it gave it some flavour when I couldn’t taste anything. Still not interested in eating chocolate :frowning: It tasted so disgusting when I last tried it that I don’t fancy it!! Spose it’s got to be a good thing as I’m not doing much at the moment so would only put on more weight if I was eating my normal quota of chocolate!!!
Hope everyone is keeping as well as possible and enjoying this lovely sunny day.
Gill xx

ps I’m on facebook - will pm details if anyone else is on there too

Hi there girlies! Well went to town this morning with mum, Mondays mornings early usually quiet thought I’d look for some Christmas presents forgot children were off school. Did what we had to do and came home I like children but it was too busy everywhere and I can’t cope with that at the moment plus it’s not really wise is it.Anyway picjed up some lovely jewellery in the Debenhams sale for son’s girlfriend and got couple of things for myself as Clinique bonus time. Also a lovely scarf and bracelet for son’s girlfriend’s mum (does that make sense)they are coming to9 us for Christmas and she is really lovely so thought it would be nice to give her something on Christmas morning.
Well felt better by Sunday from CMF but now have to go tomorrow for 2nd half so not looking forward to the next few days. Have to be at the path lab for 8.30 as my pm is 9.30 don’t know about anyone elase but I’m hopeless in the morning. Last week they asked me if I wanted CMF in other arm as it’s not so aggresive to the veins and I had no lymphadeama in operation side but I said no as I don’t want two bad arms but I’m wondering what to do tomorrow don’t think that bad arm is up to it after only one week–advise please.
Jackie–It does seem that the ripples of bc are neverending doesn’t it,gout, watch the tabs s/e the runs, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. bc clear!! How wonderful to hear those words. There is a channel on Sky tv called “Body in Balance” there are all sorts of exercise on there to join in with. ThoughDroopy Drawers was a good name it really made me laugh, sorry Kris.
Isabel–glad that onc was betterand that you are happy to back at work are you going back very gradually? Girl at work came back too much too soon, thanks to our boss, and ended up having to have councelling.
Kris-No brain not wandered up to the Midlands I have checked the garden and looked under the fallen leaves but not there hopr e that you find it soon and stop kicking that cat it’s not his fault! I think that we are more aware of bc but also think that the celebs are"coming out" about it more these days. Wagner RUBBISH!! Get him out I blame the stupid people who are voting for him, sorry if anyone here is one of them but it has to be said.
Jill–Glad that you are coping so well with your prosthesis and that your rads are going ok. Thanks for the tips on outgoings list will do that before I phone them.I wish chocolate tasted awful I hardly ever ate it before but oh keeps bringing it in for me thinks he’s being kind and then doesn’t like it if I don’t eat it.
Vickie–Typical! Hair where we could od without it, something else for me to look forward to. I’m on facebook (Lesley-Ann Bloor).
June–love thwe photo, where is it?
Saffronseed–had to laugh, I just imagine us all with bushy eyebrows, hairy legs, moustaches and “beards” bit different from bald heads and alien hairless bodies lol
Gill–sorry to hear about your daughter hope that she is ok and home safe soon.
Sandra–What a good idea for getting rid of things. I do the charity shop thing for clothes and books but I have a loft full of stuff that son doesn’t want me to part with. When he was little he used to love going to his gran’s and they would fetch something of his dad’s out of the loft to play with, he wants to be able to do that one day so I haven’t the heart. Yes they do tell us prokies don’t they like the one they told me about periods stopping!! I didn’t know that tortoises spat poor Toby hope that he is ok and ticked up warm for the winter it really is freezing now.Think that wise owl is a good name for you. but not old.
Nell-pop your nose out from under the duvet it’s a lovely sunny day.
Tax-glad that you are back safely.
Maria and Heather hope that you are both not feeling too bad and are safe and warm under your duvets as you are very quiet at the moment.
Anyone I’ve missed take care and try to keep smiling.
Going now to make a hotpot for dinner, tomorrow proably will not feel like it so will try to eat well tonight.
Tip–Had cinnamon toast with fruit compote in Debenhams for breakfast £2.45 for two slices mmmm. Lesleyx
What a long post!!

Hi just popping in to see if there is a young girl called Vickie here who has just been hit by a flying zimmer frame?

yes, and it really really hurt.

Flying zimmer frame?? sounds interesting!!!

Check the mx feb thread!

Vickie, have you seen my dentures?? X

yes tina, they are just next to your copy of saga magazine

Oh poor Vickie do you have some paracetamol handy for the head ache ? But not to worry I do not have a zimmer frame and if I did I am not Donald Bradman. But when I come to see my sister in your neck of the woods look out.lol Jackie

jackie, those old women are ganging up on me, can you protect me?

I am an old woman Jackie But it will cost you LOl

Hi Everyone,

Jackie - when do you get your test for gout? Is that boiler sorted yet?

Saffronseed - how’s the beard going?! How long for you now until you go back to work? I have practised yoga for quite a few years now, I used to (pre bc!) do an ashtanga based style of yoga which was quite energetic, but now I am doing much gentler stuff. It has been great for my range of movement in my arm & shoulder which I find tighten up quite quickly if I haven’t exercised. I haven’t done aqua aerobics but I quite fancy going swimming once I am over the rads.

Isabelle - are you still coping with your return to work. It’s years since I have been to Kendal. We were going to go during the summer but with all the chemo’s we never managed to fit it in - perhaps next year.

Carol - are still under the duvet or are you starting to feel better now?

Sandra - I get 20 rads, so am counting down now. It seems endless travelling to the hospital everyday. So far I am coping ok, no tireder than I was before. How do you manage with the gc there as well? I know we have said you are Wise Old Owl, but I think you must be Superwoman, perhaps without the leotard but you never know!

Tracey - good luck for you next peachy tomorrow.

Denise - I take it you are still under your duvet? Best place to be sometimes.

Kanga - did you get you brain back? I bet you are glad to be back - it has been freezing here the last few mornings. Just when I have nearly enough hair to not wear a hat it’s too cold outside and I need to wear a hat - typical!. Will have to look for some nice winter ones.

Gill - good news that your OH made it out to be with your daughter and I hope she is recovering fine from her operation. Let us know how she gets on. Rads planning was fine, painless, apart from when they did the tattoos, but they were just pin pricks, but after all the blood tests and chemo I am not too keen on needles anymore. Hardest part was having to stay still while they did all the measurements.

Lesley - Christmas shopping already - I am never, ever that organised. I’ve barely even thought about from Christmas. Good luck for your CMF tomorrow.

Vickie I hope you are behaving yourself now. It sounds like you deserved to be hit by a Zimmer frame and some dentures, you could always keep them for when you are an “old” lady, i.e. over 40 like the rest of us!

I am still plodding on through my rads, 12 down now, 8 to go. Skin seems to be bearing up so far but I have developed a sore throat which means it can be painful to swallow. They did mention this at my first appointment, but it is not something I have seen posted about on here - has anyone else had this problem. It is recommended that I gargle soluble paracetamol - yum, can’t wait!!! Luckily so far I can manage to eat chocolate & drink wine so I should be all right. It just seems to be bulky food like bread that it hurts to swallow.

As for hair - I now have quite a good covering, though mine is thick on top and thinner at the sides, as for downstairs hair that too is filling back in from the middle. Eyebrows are all right apart from towards the ends where the hairs just look straggly & random and seem to stick out all over the place!

All the best to you all and to anyone I haven’t mentioned.

Jill

Hello Ladies,
I hope everyone is well today.
Sandra, I haven’t given up on posting, I would miss everyone if I did!
I’ve been roped in to look after my three grandson’s when I’m not at work this week (half term). How are things going with your rads? How is your skin doing up to now? OK I hope.
I’m just doing 3 half days a week just now I will have to get back to working weekends again soon.
I still get rather tired and am having a bit of pain from the haematoma, I’m hoping it will ease off soon. I don’t say much about it at home now as everyone thinks I should be ok by now, don’t like to sound like I’m just having a moan!
Hi Jill, I often go down to Kendal as I’m lucky enough to live quite close to there, it’s about 16 miles to Kendal or 16 miles to Penrith, But Kendal has better shops. I hope you get time to go there when your treatment is finished.

I hope everyone has a good night’s sleep,
Take care thinking of you all,

Hugs and Best Wishes,

Isabelle xxx

Hiya ladies

Don’t ya just love steroids!, I have been awake since 2am and don’t see myself going back to sleep any time soon :o(

Had a busy day, tyring to get around everyone I needed to visit, hospital for bloods & dr review, Iam ok have peachy today, then went to visit my friend from work who had tax no2 last tuesday, like me she had an infection with no1 but said no2 has been much kinder to her, just a few aches & pains but controlled with painkillers so Iam hopeful I will be the same (we have suffered the same se so far, so I could be lucky too)
Went to see my daughters MIL, she is still shell shocked with her results, they are still working on her treatment plan, so she is in limbo at the mo. We are getting a “cyberknife” machine in st james next year which can blast cancer cells from bones/organs without affecting good healthy tissue, turning a terminal illness in to a critical illness, so that is good news and gave her a bit more hope. Iam taking her to peachy with me this morning, so as to take away a bit of fear of the unit, I remember how scared I was that first time, but as yet she does not know if she is to have peachy or not.
Grandaughter was rushed to a&e this morn after a vistit to dr, with suspected pnumonia, bless her, she was 1 on saturday, but luckily (??) it was only bronchitus, and she was sent home again with steroids to try and help her breathing. She was admitted earlier this year aged 4 months with pnumonia due to a misdiagnosis from about 6 different dr’s and it was touch and go for a while - so we were all in a bit of a state this morning.
Called to see “mother dear” to let her know she was off duty for peachy this morn, she has been with me for all my previous ones, so she is taking dad to mackro instead to see what she can’t possibly live without this week - needless to say dad is not impressed but has worked out its much easier and cheaper if he goes along and says “yes dear”, it has taken him about 50 years to work that one out tho.

Isabelle, nice to see your post, glad work is going ok, please try not to overdo it, especially with having the gandson’s there. Hope the heamatoma goes soon, I don’t do pain very well so hope you are coping better than I would.

Jill, more than half way there now hun, try dequdin’s for sore throte, I swear by them, you can get them from boots or large chemist. Liquid diet I guess for a while, anything that will slide down easily, just take it easy hun.

Lesley, I know what you mean about not being able to cope with crowds at the mo, I try to shop in town early on. Ohh bonus time at debenhams, will have to call in there on friday morn - when I should be at work, I’m on first names terms with the girls on the clinique counter, they are lovely and have been great since I have been ill, they always give me extra free samples (which I save and make goodie baskets for friends at xmas). We are down to 14 for xmas lunch this year, its about all my older sister can get in her dining room (her turn this year) we all take something with us tho, to make life easier, but I have been excused this year and told to take it easy and enjoy the day - I will be taxi to the pub for the men, good job we have a 7 seater! Hope all goes well with the second half and its kinder to you than the first half. My Oncon lied to me about periods too, will have to wait and see what happens after no5, when i asked him after no3 he said they may not have poisened my overies enough yet, but to wait and see how it goes - everyone is different, its the one thing about peachy I was looking forward to!

Sandra, you can get silk wraps put on your nails to protect them from braking, these are much kinder than having false nails, I’ve not tried them, always used the Opi nail envy, but have cut my nails short at the mo to save them braking. Have you got Toby safly wrapped up for the winter now, the ground is starting to get hard with the frost that has started this week. Hope the rads are still going well, how many do you have left? I bet the grandchildren had a whale of a time at toys r us, I havent been there for ages, our Ellie (3 1/2) is a real princess too, has the costumes and insists on wearing them all day every day, I really miss having the girls at the mo, but Hannah insists that its too much for me, I guess she is right, I see them a couple of times a week as they live near, but its not the same.

Heather, I have missed your posts, I do hope that you are getting some sleep now. I hope the grandaughtes party went well and that you held you head high infront of your ex. My gandaughter was 1 on saturday, so we called in at her party, it was open house so the party was on the go all day with children coming and going all day, they were all exhausted by tea time!, but slept well lol. How is the writing going, I hope you are managing to get through your course work and not feeling too bad at the mo.

grrr lost my post half way through writing it, only to find later it had been posted - today is not going well so far !

Have now forgotten what I was going to put, so will love you and leave you for now.

Anyone having treatment today/this week, I hope it all goes well, and the side effects are minimal. Denise, hope you manage to come out from under the duvet soon and are feeling better.

Love and hugs to everyone, hope you all have a good a day as possible, thinking of you all - sorry I have not mentioned everyone, but I got cut short and then lost the thread
Tracey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Ladies,
Woke with a very sore throat! Hope it is from the grandson and not the hiya teardrop, read somewhere it causes low blood count, is that right? Will ask today, see if l need something from docs! Don’t mean to sound a baby, but at the moment l feel l have enough to cope with!

Jackie, Yes l am on Femara, l expect most of you ladies are on Tamoxifen because you are all so young, except for our glam kanga, who l know is on Femara.

Anne, Good to see you back, yes it was a long journey for you, as well as coping with all this! Good luck with number 5 on Wednesday.

Gill, Pleased your daughter has had her op and hopefully on her way to recovery, must be awful for you now being able to be with her. No l don’t cover Toby up because of Bliss, she wouldn’t dig him up, too much effort for her! But the foxes and rats would! they eat them! So he is well covered with chicken wire and a cloche and polystyrene to keep the frost off, had a look yesterday and he has dug even deeper, really worried he might wake in the spring and not find his way out!! Silly old woman that l am, so will probably leave him a week to get to sleep and dig him up and put him in his box!
I too have a thing for cheese on toast at the moment, my mouth is still yuk and chocolate tastes awful, hopefully l will lose my taste for chocolate, will do my figure the world of good.

Lesley, Yes Christmas shopping, something l must get started on, can see these children staying until Christmas, then l will get nothing done, think we have 11 for Christmas dinner, and any friends of the sons that have nowhere to go! Hope second half of peachy goes well! I was on the understanding you could use your arm as normal if you have your lymph glands! So l expect you can use it! But don’t take my word, good luck! Talking of body in balance, l was talking to one of the Mums at school, and was saying l don’t feel as though l stand right since my mx, she said she has a book she would lend me and l could go on the internet and read it, the book is in chinese but has pictures. We did laugh, l couldn’t even open the book the right way, as my son informs me you start at the back, well l did know but with so many things going on!! As it is in chinese not managed to find the one line that tells me the English website! But l will not be beaten!
Well yes there are things l would never take to the charity shop, l have things of my Dads, granddad and great granddad, they will stay in the family for as long as forever!! But then there are things they are not important in my life that will go. Today we are taking a sit and ride battery train that goes on a track, the boys are really too old/big for it now. At this rate we will have to move to a smaller house, or it will seem empty!!

Jill, Almost there with your hiya teardrop, must admit some days l do struggle, but we mums/grandmas keep going whatever is thrown at us, or at least we try! The gc stay at my mums while l go, she lives a few hundred yards from me! She is 91 but fit and healthy most of the time, and loves playing the ggc!
Yes sore throat, wasn’t sure if mine was down to rads of the fact the gs has a cold, l will check today, in case l need something from docs!

Isabelle, No l didn’t really think you would leave us! Hiya teardrop is going fine, no side effects yet! Although l have only had 6 out of 15, still putting lots of cream on, and fingers crossed! Hope they sort your haematoma out soon, bit of a pain for you.

Tracey, steroids yummy love them! NOT! Hope peachy goes well today, and dmil is not too freaked out by the unit! She must feel awful waiting, feel like everyone is ignoring you! I met a lovely lady when l had my first op back in March, her bc had spread to the bones and liver, as of yet she has had no treatment other than Femara, keep threatening peachy but she has other health problems, we speak most days and sometimes l find it very exhausting because she says l am the only one that understands so she cries a lot, her family keep telling her to be positive! Told her what else can they say, all so very sad. I have heard of those cyberknife machines, l think every hospital should have them.
Hope granddaughter is ok? I will look at the silk wraps for my nails, although l think it is a bit late to try and save them, all looking bruised and turning white, which is what happened to my thumb nail before it broke half way down. The same is happening with my toe nails.

Heather, Nell, Maria,K, hope you are ok, a while since you posted, Heather don’t think you have to do a long post, just a hi, l am fine, just tired or whatever is good enough, just so we know you are alright.

Well dogs need walking, gc need fresh air, and l need sleep!!
Love and Hugs to one and all
Sandra xxx

Good Luck to all that have peachy this week, Carol will have to check my little book, lost the plot at the moment! Think you were last week!! Oh dear, l am so confussed!

Hi there.
just bobbing in to say a quick hello. I know I’m not here much these days…just been reading and not posting so much.
Rads going ok so far 8 out of 19 done of the first batch, skin ok, slight pulling in scar area and armpit but no sore throat :-))

Have my LGFB day today so will have to get ready soon.

Sandra…my tastebuds not recovered yet either, was expecting that there would have been some improvement but not yet. I am starting to drink coffee again but not eating chocolate as it is really quite yuk…never thought I’d ever say that!! My mouth and nose are soooooo dry I am like desert!! Hair startingto grow…full covering of fluffy greyish spikes!! Maybe the rapid hair growth shampoo was worth the money after all:-))))

To all others I am following your adventures and send you my best wishes for whichever stage you are at and all the other things which are going on in our busy lives.

Been feeling a bit low for some reason…don’t know exactly why but hey ho it’ll soon be spring!!!

Gotto go bye for now hugs to all Suze xxxxxxxxxxx Eeyore/crazy cat lady lol xx

Hi Everyone
I’m back from UK and at last feeling post-last-peachy-mother and not post-posh-op. Does that make sense? My surgeon said a posh op was a small affair with a one night stay in hospital and one week off work. What a wopper !! I stayed 2 nights ( and they suggested I stayed more) and could not work… could hardly move for the stabbing pains until about yesterday, now just a bit like period pain (What is that???) and delly belly (without the nasty bits) I’ve said before I’m no whimp, but the tax truck and posh op are no walks in the park. Well I’ve had my moan and I make no apologies, cos I know you understand.
Families…oh dear…I had a lovely time but we have our fair share of complications and things to worry about. I had to put on a brave face for my parents and now I think I have exhausted myself. But now back to all those things I put off until after my posh op and after my trip to UK.
You lot seem to have your fair share of sh*tty stuff too.
Heather, I do hope you are OK, and all the others who don’t always post.
Sandra, I am worried about you, woo/super women. I do hope you are bearing up as much as you say you are.
Tracey, I hope you got some sleep last night in the end. Cyber knife sounds promising. Hope your gd is feeling better now. Your Dad has got is sussed out at last !!
Isabelle, you sound very busy to me, did you tell us what you do? Working weekends? Sorry i missed it, where is your haematoma?
Jill, you seem to be bearing up well. I gargle paraceamol when I have a sore throat, works wonders.
Vickie, Jackie, Tina, Gill, Petal, sounds like there is a fight going on !
Lesley, hope 2nd half of cmf goes OK, your peachy mother sounds really complicated. I know what you mean about shopping in the crowds. Hate it at the best of times, so now it is just a no-go for me when there are too many people about. Did you tell us how your photo shoot went ?
Denise, Hope the tax truck is leaving soon.
Carol, is the fec-fork lift keeping you under the duvet still ?
Kris, I have just spent half an hour looking for the K on the Keyboard and I brought my pea brain back with me ( I think) or maybe my pea and your walnut found each other on the M25 somewhere.
Anne. Hope peachy mother number 5 goes OK, how many do you have ?
Gill, I do hope your daughter is recovering well, does she speak German, it must be so hard being away from home in a foreign country.
Saffronseed, must have missed something, where did you go on holiday?
Suze, glad to see you are still around, but sad to hear you are feeling low. I do believe this is a normal stage to got through, maybe your LGFB will buck you up a bit. Be kind to yourself.
I don’t seem to have found any recent posts for Wendy and Karen, so I hope you are OK.
Hugs to those who post and those who only read, those having peachy mother and those having hiya teardrop, those with no, one or two star bones, those who have had posh ops and those who have not, those under the duvet and those rushing around. In fact to all of you.
Maria
