Hi Crazy gang, wow you’ve all been so busy it has took me two days to catch up with all your posts. Has you know I had a hectic weekend, visitors both days, it was lovely on Sunday though, my daughter son in law and there two boys came for lunch because It was her birthday. We had a lovely day, I know just how your feeling Sandra, this time last year I was going through chemo and wasn’t well enough to do any celebrating. This year has been different. We had a laugh though, my eldest grandson has just started to learn to drive, so on Sunday his dad insured my daughters car so he could take him out to practice. Well he didn’t know this, so has they all walked out to the car my Son in Law said ok Liam you are driving. Well I think it took him by surprise but he got in the drivers seat with my son in law sat with him and my daughter and my other grandson was sat in the back. Well to get to our house you have to go down a lot of lanes, they were just coming down the lane and a man was stood in front of them diverting them, and the air ambulance had landed in front of them. So my daughters youngest son pipes up "how did they know we would need an ambulance " lol but they didn’t panic and they got here safely, and he parked it better than his mum does. So Sandra I hope next year you are feeling a lot better. Oh by the way I have a nipple on my prosthesis, I didn’t on the first one, but I rang them a few months ago and asked if I could get a bigger one because I have put so much weight on. They said yes that would be ok and made me an appointment for the following week, and this one is bigger with a nipple.
Izzy, I didn’t train hubby he came like that lol it was strange when we first started to live together, we had both come from very domineering partners.I had always been use to doing everything, so the first meal we cooked together was a cooked breakfast. We sat at the table and he said “oh there isn’t no sauce” and my first reaction was to jump up and get it, but he said sit there I can fetch it, and I cried, that was the first time any one had done anything for me. And that’s how it has always been, we have both put on loads of weight since we met. I think it is the contentment, and we have had some rough things to deal with. We had only been together a few months and my wonderful dad was diagnosed terminally ill, and he died just before our first Christmas
together. Then the following year he found out his daughter was pregnant, but she is with her partner now and has another child and is a wonderful mum. Then the year after my dad died my wonderful mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease. that was an awful thing to see. She died on Mothers Day 2004. Then things started to look up, we both had good jobs and then I was took ill with Fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis all over the place so I had to pack up work. Then last year I was diagnosed with cancer, so in the last 8 years together we have faced things some people don’t face in a life time, but we got through it, but I don’t think I could have got through it with out him. Anyway Izzy, do you go on the quad bike ? I would be scared lol Good luck on Wednesday, I hope you get all your results so you know what’s happening. My hubby says he buries his head in the sand, It’s his way of dealing with it. He says has the problems come we will deal with them, but I don’t wont to know about them till they happen.
Libby, I have loads of stories, the sad thing is there all true lol Hope you had a good time at Kew, I went there a few years ago, and it was lovely.
Kris, glad the acupuncture went well, Love the verse, it is very true
Vickie you did have a good shop, the teal colour sounds lovely. I use to do that when I was trying on clothes, pull my wig off.I use to come out the changing room looking like I had been dragged backwards through a hedge, I bet the shop assistants wondered what I had been doing in there lol I use to wash my wig in baby shampoo, then put a gentle conditioner through the ends.
Carol, hows the fish doing ? do you think it is chemo and fish. We had a fish tank and fish last year when I was going through the chemo, hey there might be something in that. Sandra Maria have you got a hankering after fish lol
Gill, great to see you back again, glad you ok.
Maria, bet it was great getting your son there to get the jobs done you wanted. Good luck on Wednesday, hope things are better this time.
