So embarrassing! I was in the hospital with a fever for a few days. I wasn’t neutropenic initially during my stay but became so after a couple days. Anyway, I was experiencing an itchy vagina and eventually a bit of burning when I pee. The dr said vaginal flush is common during chemo and gave me the cream. It cleared the itching but looks like I have ulcers on my vulva. I’ve never had herpes but could this be an outbreak and I didn’t know it? Or do vaginal ulcers happen during chemo?
Whilst waiting for replies maybe you would like to talk things through with a member of our helpline staff. The free phone number is 0808 800 6000 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.00 and Saturday 10.00 to 2.00.
Yes, I’ve had the same but didn’t want to mention it. It’s embarrassing isn’t it. I’ve been getting a strange clear discharge that doesn’t smell and is only a bit - vaginal flush seems to describe it. I also got what I thought were spots but could have been ulcers. They have now cleared up as I was really careful about cleaning myself. I’ll mention it when I go for my next chemo and try to get an answer. Weird what happens to our bodies during this.
Yes I am very sore everywhere.
I used yoghurt to calm down vaginak sores and bicarbonate of soda.
My mouth is pretty sore too, but I use bicarbonate for that not the yoghurt.
I have terrible thrush and have fluourizole on standby ( you know the canes team tablets) - but so far cool yoghurt fro the fridge is lovely.
