Hi all
have got secondaries liver and bones, I mentioned to my Onc a pain in my left side just below ribs, she said on my scan my spleen was enlarged and this happens when it tries to help the liver.
just checking as the pain has gone from copable stitch pain to a very sharp painful pain!!
anyone else had experience of this and can give bit of advice?
thanks lovely ladies

That’s interesting. I have mets to pleura, liver and bone, and have always had that type of pain, in the same location-but as it’s the location of the pleural mets, assumed it was caused by that. I’ve found that codeine is very effective in dealing with it-as to are lidocaine anaesthetic patches.
this sounds exactly like the pain i have had today, feels like a very severe stitch just under left rib cage, i also have secondaries to lungs, extensive liver, bones and pleura. Pain has been excruating today comes and goes. Have an appointment with the oncologist on tuesday so will be mentioning to him.
love to all Max x
