Can anyone explain the implications of the above please - 95% ER positive +++ and 90% ++ PR positive
How can it be both and if this is so (report says so) what does it mean for hormone treatment?
Adding to this a few hours later, thought there would be replies by now, …
hi, it means you are eostrogen and progesterone positive which is good when it comes to hormone therapy. i am both was on tamox for 2 1/2 years and now on exemastane.
all good wishes
Annie
Did you get your path report recently sacha? I’ve got my appointment on fri and not quite sure what to expect.
Nice ER and PR level Sascha.
Those are very good results from the point of view of possible future treatment for you, Sascha. Have you tried ringing the Helpline here for further info? In the past I would have given you a link to the Understanding Your Results page on here but I am lost wth the new website just now. I’ll try to find it for you as I found it really helpful.
It really all does gradually improve in the nightmare world of surgery and results, and things will feel a bit better when you have a treatment plan. Not all gone away better, but better than floundering in the dark.

Hi Sascha, me again.
is the page from the Information side about Understanding your Pathology Reprt.
http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/breast-cancer-information/about-breast-cancer/diagnosis/questions-you-may-want-ask
is another page from the same section that I found really helpful for understanding what was going on.
And the helpline people are very helpful, they do what it says on the tin! Plus of course your Specialist Breast Care nurse should be able to help too. Do you have a BCN? It seems to vary across the country so much. I had access to a great team of BCNs but didnt have the Progestogen Test done.
It is really tough for everyone new and everyone hitting a new problem just as the Website is so difficult, as the support here has been one of the best things for me. If all the above is stuff you know already, my apologies
