Hi everyone - I just wanted to share an interesting study that I found this week. The title is ‘Evening Primrose Oil Enhances Tamoxifen’s Anticancer Activity against Breast Cancer Cells by Inducing Apoptosis, Inhibiting Angiogenesis, and Arresting the Cell Cycle.’
I am not sure if I am allowed to post the link here but the study should be easy enough to find on Google.
I have copied the following from the study conclusion:
‘Apoptosis is a natural inhibitor of tumorigenesis, and its stimulation in malignant cells is one of many cancer chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic techniques [21]. The present study revealed that the administration of the natural product EPO, alone or in combination with the anticancer drug TAM, induced apoptosis in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines.’
