Event for Friends and Family in Cardiff

Hi everyone

We are holding an event this September for patients with primary breast cancer  - whether still receiving active treatment or not - and their friends and family. We know that a diagnosis of breast cancer and subsequent treatment can have a huge impact on an individual and their loved ones and this session will explore this.

With a discussion facilitated by a psychologist participants will learn more about the emotional impact of breast cancer on the patient, their family and friends and how to communicate and manage relationships going forward. Breast Cancer Care volunteers will also share their personal experience about what helped them to cope with side effects and the impact of diagnosis and treatment, including suggestions of things friends/family can do or say to help.

This event is open to patients, their friends and family members over the age of 16 years old.

If you would like to find out more about this event or book a place please contact the Wales office on 0345 077 1894 or email cym@breastcancercare.org.uk.

Thanks

Vicky
