excision?

Ive had a lump in my right breast for over a year, which i had a biopsy on. The results were inconclusive!
This year I now have two lumps in the same breast. The one from last year has grown in size and i was told the outer core had changed?? This lump is now just over 2cms in size. The new lump is slightly smaller.
I had to have a biopsy done. On the day I was told both lumps would be done. But the day I went back for my results I was told that only one lump had been done, the old lump.Again the results were inconclusive.
I was told to go back in two weeks because they would disscuse my case and then decide weather I should have an excision. I take it this means removal of the lumps??
Today I recive a copy of the letter sent to my GP, The wronge GP, Havent seen him for over six years… saying that the new lump was the one biopsied. Im really not happy about any of it. Which lump was the biopsy taken from???

Hi Tracey

You sound to be having a really dreadful time - it is worrying enough to have one lump but to have two and then be dealt with in this way! Not surprised you are unhappy. Can you talk to your GP (the right one) to see if they can find out any more about what is going on and/or hurry things up a bit?

Thinking about you

Thank you for you comment, but trying to get an appointment with my Doc is like finding the end of the rainbow!!
Well the wait is almost over, tomorrow is the day I find out weather or not they are going to opp on me. The really shit part of this is I have found yet another lump in my right breast. This one is very small, Im hoping im just being paranoid and feeling what i think is lumps. Three lumps in the one boob is not good!! The other 2 are near my arm pit but the very small one, the one I found last night is nearer my nipple. I hope they have decided to get the lumps out, i want an end to this!!

Hi Tracey

How did you get on? Hope you got some answers and that they will do whatever needs to be done to make sure you are OK! It must be really getting to you finding all these lumps and you must be so worried. I do hope everything is OK for you.

hi Gwyn,
They have decided to remove the lumps thank goodness!! The opperation will take place on 13th Feb so not to long to wait. Because one of the lumps is deep and hiden slightly by the bigger lump I have to have a procedure called A Wire Localisation done on it. They have to insert a wire into the lump with the aid of a scan (with a local) then I have to have a mamogram to make sure the wire is in the right place, providing it is i then go back to the ward an wait my turn for surgery. If it isnt they have to keep trying untill it is!! I think this is to make it easier for the surgens to locate the smaller lump?
Then its the waiting game for the lab results!!
Im so worn out, I havent slept well for ages now, What I would give to sleep just one whole night

Hi Tracey

Had this procedure done when I had my wle, it was fine because of the local you really dont feel a thing and because of the local the mamo is fine as well bonus!!!

If you are still having trouble sleeping talk to your doc (not easy in your case I appreciate) but I asked mine for something just to take the edge of the stress and let me sleep I didnt want zonking out as I was working and had a home to run, he prescribed diazipam and I dont take them all the time when needs must I go for it.

Sending hugs

Thanks Karen, I might go and see my doc.
The thing is its not just my breast that im having problems with, My smears are not so good, apparently im sitting on the fence for treatment there two!! Had a Colposopy recently and it was boarder line and while i was having that done they noticed 3 areas of skin that didnt look right so i have been refered to a skin spesh aswell, I feel like a walking test center for cancer at the mo!!

My mum had a wire localization when she had benign calcs removed in 2004, and she’s having another tomorrow. As Karen said, having the wire put in is virtually painless, at least that’s what my mum said - I didn’t need to have it done as my lump was close to the surface of my breast.

Hope things go well for you, and take care. I sometimes take Diazepam, and they are very good for relaxing you and helping you sleep.
