A little backstory:
Diagnosed Stage 4 metastatic hormone positive breast cancer in Nov 2019.
Prescribed palliative painkillers. In informal conversation doctor hinted to take tamoxifen.
Tamoxifen 2 months. I have developed one-sided pleural effusion and breathing problems.
Feb 2020 effusion drained. Abemaciclib (Verzenio) + Faslodex started. Gradual improvement in 3 months.
Control MRI: Multiple bone mets and single lieson 1x1cm in drained lung.
Added Zoledronic Acid.
Feb 2021 progression everywhere. Lieson in lung tuned into 4x3.5cm
Lung surgery rejected.
Four cycles of AC chemo.
Changed Zoledronic acid to denosumab.
Physically my condition improved.
PET CT still showed multiple mets.
Prescribed Exemestane+Everolimus.
There was no Everolimus, so doctor told me to start on Exemestane alone.
It did something to me.
Developed motion sickness.
My entire side covered with strange rash.
When I finally added Everolimus to the mix all side effects increased tenfold.
Headache culminated in vomiting.
Urine became dark and foamy.
I got headaches. Vertigo. Weakness.
It became so bad I fell down and hit my nose and head very hard.
I was lying in a pool of blood and had no strength to move.
After that I stopped all meds.
What is this nightmare? Is there a safe way to take these pills?
Is there some sort of premedication or supportive therapy?
I had my full blood panel and PET scan. There was nothing abnormal that could explain such reaction.
I miss my Abemaciclib (Verzenio) + Faslodex therapy so much.
