Hi, I was changed from Letrozole to Exemestane following single mastectomy surgery for ILC & DCIS. I have been taking it for just over 2 weeks & I have stomach pains, like indigestion & nausea. Is this normal & will it settle down over time? I had minimal symptoms with Letrozole but apparently it did not react to my ILC in the way hoped pre surgery. Hence the change to Exemestane.
Hi Mich1329
Thanks for posting.
Like any drug exemestane can cause side effects and everyone reacts differently with some people having more side effects than others.
Exemestane can make you feel nauseous or even be sick. These symptoms usually improve or become easier to manage over time, however for some people they can cause distress and disrupt everyday life. Taking exemestane with or after food can help to reduce nausea, and some people find changing the brand of exemestane may suit them better.
