expander Implant to be changed! to silicone????

Hello

I have an expander implant that has a leaking valve/port.

It needs to be changed, I was just wondering if people have experience of silicone implants, if they are softer as the documentation seems to suggest?
Additionally how long is the recovery, I would say that the MX has taken 8 weeks to feel really well, and I am hoping that a replacement implant will be less recovery ?

Anyone been through this?

Hi I am seeing my surgeon on friday to discuss getting my expander changed. I had mine put in at the end of jan, and have had awful pain, from the port area, and cant wait to get it out. I’m not sure how long it takes or the recovery time. I will know more on friday, so will come back on and post what i find out.
