I’m just wondering about people’s experience of having double mastectomy with expanders placed in, then radiotherapy and then exchange to implants? My exchange is booked for next week. I’m trying to weigh up whether to just have tubing and Ports removed or to take the leap of faith and have the implants placed.
Currently the expanders are not symmetrical (due to radiotherapy and tightening on that side) but that doesn’t bother me that much, I mean I hate the way they look but don’t think I’ll ever be happy with the look. Tissue reconstruction not an option for me. If implants fail I’ll have to go flat.
