@clarabell thank you for reaching out. Where abouts in your journey are you?

Trying to connect with people feeling the same to maybe create a network of support with each other.

Hi Sammy

I was diagnosed 6 years ago with stage 2 breast cancer and completed all treatments 8 months later. Started taking tamoxifen which I was going to be taking for 10 years.

I started having some symptoms around the breast area last March but was told by GP that it was just nerve pain.Anyway to cut a very long story short I was told in December that i had advanced local breast cancer recurrence. To say I was devastated is an understatement especially as I do t have a solid treatment plan as yet.

I am suffering with extreme anxiety and really dont know how to get through my days.

I am trying meditation healthy eating g and I’ve just put my trainers on to go on a long walk to see if that helps but I so know what you mean about the terrible anxiety,Sending you lots of love x

Honestly so sorry to hear that youre in so much distress. I was like this over surgery. I had hypnotherapy which helped.

I honestly think one of the main things that get you through this is a positive mindset so if you’re struggling with anxiety it’s hard.

Getting some counselling/therapy is absolutely the right thing to do.

Try to break it down & only focus on one session at a time - thinking about your whole journey can be very overwhelming.

Some of my anxiety came from not being in control & not having all the information needed. If you have questions over your treatment, ask to get the answers.

Try your very best to build in relaxing activities; going a walk, meeting a friend for a coffee, a massage or soundbath.

You can get through this. Sending you positive thoughts x
