The only thought ive got is because all the hair grew back at once is this a natural shedding phase? I know this is a nothing to what weve been through but god its annoying!! be gratefull if anyone can give me a bit of advice

Hi tinlizzy
i can’t give you any advice as I’ve not started on that journey yet, however as lottie above said , rapid lash is supposed to be very good but they also do rapid brow too. Both available from boots about £40 each. I’ve just ordered the mavala product from boots called double lash lite £11 - a lot of people have used this on here- as I’m going to pre condition mine prior to chemo and then prob use the rapid products.
Good luck alet hope you’re just slothing off your winter coat before the new spring

Hi, this happened to me! Finished chemo in September and rads in November and lost eyelashes and eyebrows again about 5 weeks ago, almost exactly 6 months since first loss. Im happy to say they are both growing back now. Michelle xx
Finished chemo in March last year (and Herceptin in January this year) and hate to say my eyebrows are sooo thin, I used to have quite nice ones before and other body hair is at least half the amount or non existent.
I am due to start chemo shortly. Is there anything I can use now in preparation such as eyelash gel or nail strengthener
i have previously coated lashes with Vaseline to help the growth
hi mickey24, oh thats interesting, thank the lord its not just me! I know its not the worst weve all encountered but its so nice to see these things come back, i was fed-up to see them going again. thanks michelle for your reply , hope your keeping well .Tina x
hi 3network3, nothing seems to be the same, dont you think, like you my brows werent quite as nice as before, but would think you were same + was just good to have brows + lashes back, have you tried any products for them, i used revitabrow + it did help,so ive got my wonder stuff out again.thanks for reply, take care x
hi kiranclair, found by using a product called Perfect Fomula which is avaliable on qvc, if you use nail enamel then it can be used as a base , the 1st chemo i had the nurse admired my nails but then told me they wont stay like that, how wrong she was !!, i found they were so strong throughout.Do keep your cuticals well moisturised, it all helps with new growth, think i was lucky as it wasnt until last cycle that i lost my brows + lashes. be thinkingof you.take care Tina x
Really interesting and useful thread. I finished chemo at the end of October 2012 and have noticed that my eyebrows started to thin 2 weeks ago and now my eyelashes have started to drop out. I have literally got about 8 eyelashes left today.
Hair on head does seem to be growing back well - though hair on the top of my head is still thin/patchy but less noticeable. Still trying to wear my wigs (as i think they look great and better than own hair at current length) but it does get harder to wear when you have some hair. I will try some of the products mentioned by others to encourage my lashes back into existence. Thanks for the tips,
Helen
hi all
just been reading, wrote down some of these products thanks as i didnt no about them, had last chemo thurs, little way to go i know , can i just ask, all the way through my chemo, the hair on my head kept growing and i was shaving it every 3to 4 days, it came out 2 weeks after first chemo tho, was this the case for all?x
hi hju63, like you my last chemo was at the end of october, i think ive about the same amount of lashes, god isnt life sad when you start counting lashes!! My hair has come back really thick+ so curly! But its so much slower than it was before treatment, I didnt wear a wig, just a variety of hats, but gave them up when my hair was through. Regarding the products both revitalash + revitabrow are available from qvc.
Take care Helen, Tina
hi sunshine lilly, what a releif to get that last cycle over with,eh! I lost most of my hair 2 weeks, after 1st cycle, and wasnt totally hair free should i say, until my last cycle, youve got to laugh as i kept quite a thickness in the nape of my neck, not the best of looks as i thought it looked like a monks!! Bless my dad as he really didnt want me to shave it off!! Lets hope because you were having to keep shaving yours that it will start the growing phase for you , take care Tina
