False positive Tumor marker test

Hello All,

I had CA 15-3 & CEA test yesterday and CA15-3 was increased up to 71.9 and my CEA reduced from 14 to 12.3

What i thought is this test is not correct since before two months exactly CA15-3 was 27.3 and on October 2020 was 27.4 and i had PET SCAN on october 2020 and nothing shows only Corona virus which effect my lung slightly.

Also i had Ultrasound on Jan 2021 and everything was good.

I don’t have any symptoms and i’m feeling good.

Shall i repeat the test in another lab ?

I will visit my oncologist by Sunday to double check the matter.

Any comments please ?

Did anyone faced same issue?

Can Tumor markers getting raised suddenly while everything was normal before two months only.
