Hiya not sure if itā€™s right, but someone on an earlier forum - not sure which one - said if you had private cover you could claim for oncology consultations too? It could be wrong though!

Hi Ladies. Just an update. Im still in hospital :cry: waiting on blood cultures. Im off the IV and onto oral medication so hoping thats a good sign.
Feeling very scared :broken_heart:

Those ladies cold cappingā€¦..Iā€™m week three from first EC. Just washed my hair and amazed at how much is coming out! When I start to see bald patches itā€™ll be getting shaved.

How hard is it to wash hair that just keeps coming out relentlessly!!!

Keen to know if if it has started to settle for others or continued to fall out at an alarming rate. #clippersattheready!

@vizsla_mum same here! I had my second round Monday of last week and itā€™s been steadily coming out since. When I washed my hair on Wednesday it came out in huge handfuls.

Iā€™ve seen in a couple of places that it does slow down after so for now Iā€™m holding off just in case it does stop.

@ariella thats exactly what Iā€™ve got planned for tomorrow. Canā€™t stand turning over in bed and getting a mouthful of short hair thatā€™s come out during the night. And as for when I ā€œwashā€ it! Handfuls and handfuls. Iā€™m already feeling the cold on my head so no doubt this will be worse! Anyway, well done for grasping the nettle :flexed_biceps:. And it looks really good on you

Only done 1 cycle so far with cold cap and so far hair has had no impact but Iā€™m fully expecting that to change as i carry on - cycle 2 on weds for me if bloods are ok :crossed_fingers:t2:

really appreciate the sharing as really helps to feel prepared xx

Iā€™m not sure brave enough to confront a full shave, but not ruling it out.

The lint roller was freaking me out @sam1204 Yesterday it was giving me full on bald patches :see_no_evil_monkey:

Yeh I know what you mean :sob:. I just run my hands through my hair and it comes out in big tufts. Driving me mad. On the basis that my underarm hair which was shaved seems to have just stopped growing Iā€™m thinking same for my head if I shave it (or should I say if Stefano shaves it :laughing:!). Keep warm @ariella - that glimpse of spring we had yesterday has vanished :frowning:.
