FEC and sore joints

All through my FEC I have had sore forearms, which I presume is vein irritation. But since FEC 5 I have noticed some of my joints are getting sore. When I wake in a morning I can hardly use my hands for a while as they are stiff and painful, this has now spead to my wrists and they are painful all day. Have also noticed that my knees ache quite alot at the end of the day.
Has anyone else had this sort of thing, and will it go away once chemo has finished, or can I expect this to be permanent.
Thanks

HI Jane
I have had 2 x fec, I ache in my arms, legs and wrists, I wondered if that was anything to do with the chemo, I will ask the nurse when I go next week, all good fun eh!!!

Hi Jane,

I still suffer from stiff painful joints all over. My hands are the worst but it might be I notice them more because I use them so much. It’s hard to say which bit of my treatment caused them. I had FEC and Tax which ended last August and I’m still having herceptin. My oncologist says it’s likely to be a hangover from the chemo and should improve over time. Let’s hope he’s right.
