Feel totally alone

Hi Pixielot, T K Max have a good selection of hats just now and I have heard there are more due to come into the store this week. I am on chemo, but still have my hair, and have bought 2 hats recently from TK Max to keep my head warm as my hair is definately thinner. Hope you find something you like where-ever you choose to shop. I jusy LOVE hats. Love Val ( Scottishlass) X

thanks anna and scottish lass,
just ordered a fab rainbow coloured crochet slouchy beanie hat off ebay for a fiver - though i have a feeling i may end up looking a bit like dopey from the seven dwarfs!!!
Forgot about tk max - will definitely have a nose in there tomoro!

Hi All

How’s everyone getting on? I hope everyone is getting through their treatments ok?

I’m soooo glad that that it’s becoming colder and darker now, as I can wear more hats!! I’ve always been a hat-wearer but I’ve now built up a bit of a collection! I like wearing them over my wig…especially on a windy day… added security!!! ha ha!!

Primark have got some good beanies and berets, in some nice colours, for just a couple of quid. H & M have some *gorgeous* hats too with matching scarves and gloves, etc. There are loads of nice trilby’s about too.

Take care girls

well…here it is the rainbow coloured wolley hat off ebay…was a wee bit brighter in real life than it looked on my screen, but coincidently it perfectly matches the jumper i was wearing today when it arrived!! I now want to learn how to crochet…any tips anyone?
xx

Hi,

That hat looks great, how cool, great it matches your jumper too. I dont know how to crochet but i have started to knit a cardigan to keep me occupied during chemo, i call it my chemo cardy. Not sure what it will look like when finished though.

Hope this link works. If not just look up how to crochet on you tube. Hope this helps.

Pixielox/Poppet & others

Great to hear from you

Hair seems to have stopped malting now it is much shorter. Thinning quite a bit on top but everyone keeps telling me you cant tell and that my hair is not much different short.

I was totally fed up of waking up with hair in my mouth and all over my pillow. I bought a hair net from Boots and that seems to be brilliant at the job and might even be stopping me from having lots of loose hair in the morning. So, not seen much change to hair in the last week

I might possibly use the cold cap again a week on Friday for 3rd cycle of EC even though I really really do not like it at all and definitely do not want a repeat of last time.

Just to add to woolly hat story - I bought a black crocheted one off ebay too and my sis bought me one so I think im sorted.

Mind you - if you start crochetting then Im sure you will have a customer base from this site as long as there are not too many holes in it. At least it will be dark soon when leaving Christies so no one will be able to see my bedragled hair.

Make sure you all take care
Paula
