I’ve got my three monthly clinic with the Onc. on Wednesday and have been feeling lousy the last few days. I still get tired on short walks, though finished treatment end of Jan and my arm aches especially at night. The last few days I have had quite a severe pain in my shoulder, my neck and skull on the affected side and have been reduced to taking the codeine/paracetomol tablets the Hospital gave me months ago. I am probably being a Hypochondriac and it is just muscle strain but I cant help worrying as my cancer was very agressive and fast growing. On top of it all it is two years tomorrow since my Dad died. Thank god for my 4 dogs, they are being very good and loving. Sorry for moaning.

hi Val,
sorry you are feeling so low, if you are worried about the pain please ring your BCN to get it checked out…I did that on Friday as when I examined myself wasn’t quite sure about area around scar [dx jan 04] went over to hospital, had ultrasound and FNA…now have to wait for results…It is always better to get things checked
…says she who is now worried sick!!
But please don’t sit worrying ring them and get it checked.
So sorry that is also the second anniversary of your dads passing tomorrow too…thats alot to deal with especially on your own.
You are not moaning…so please do not apologise…you are worried and low, and thats what these forums are for so we can be there for one another.
Keep in touch.
Karen xx
Hi Val
So sorry to hear you are feeling down. The run up to the anniversary of your dad passing away will be hard. You have coped with a lot on your own and it’s only natural that you will be feeling low at times.
Good luck for your appointment on wednesday.
Great news my pains in my shoulder have lessened and the Onc was not worried so I dont have to go again for 12 months unless I get any problems. It finally feels as if maybe it is all over.
Val
Glad you had a good outcome today and can look forward to a great summer now.
Anniversaries are hard so be good to yourself.
Love AJxxx
