Feeling low

I am 4 weeks post mastectomy on letrazole  I’m still sore by i am feeling very low.  Not much of an apitite.  Has anyone been put on antidepressants feeling like this.

Hey Bianco. I’m not surprised your feeling low, your surgery is so recent and the medication can definitely affect mood, especially early on and when you’re having to adjust to such big changes. I would definitely speak with your GP and also your breast cance nurse to discuss how you’re feeling as they will know you best and hopefully have some suggestions. You may also be able to access some counselling support. This forum has been such a gift for somewhere to vent. Big hugs xx

Hi

I was already taking amitriptyline but if I wasn’t, my oncologist would have recommended them to go with the letrozole. Ask your gp if this is good idea. X

Bianco, as Janey said, speak to your gp or BCN, do not suffer in silence, that’s the worse thing you can do.  You have been and are going through a traumatic time so it’s no wonder you feel low.  All of us on here have one thing in common and we can support each other on bad days and have a laugh too.  It’s certainly got me and I know others through many a dark period so keep in touch.  Although we can’t actually meet up for a coffee we can and do chat, comfort, support and share good and bad days xx

Hi. Just wanted to check in and hope you’re feeling brighter today. Lesley is a very wise and lovely virtual friend. We’ve never had a coffee in reality but she’s got me through some tough days and we’re here for you xx

Feeling better at the moment. Been to hospital today i am now 6 weeks post mastectomy my scars are not healing as i thought still sore.  I had previously had radiotherapy on that breast so that might be why.
