Diagnosed aged 51 December 2014 grade 1 had lumpectomy chemo and rad and tamoxifen thought that was it but since then really struggling. Have back and joint pain and fatigue going for bone scan on Monday and am scared. Am trying to move on but it’s always in my head and nights are the worst. Sick with worry if I have to tell husband and family it’s back.
Suez, it’s horrible to be feeling like that. If it’s any consolation, I think that you could easily be feeling the side effects of a hormone treatment, both Tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors like Anastrazole can cause joint and muscle pain. And the age where we get breast cancer is also a common age for things like arthritis to show up.
But we live with the fear of it coming back all the time, and waiting for tests and waiting for results is horrible.
So sending you a hug, and I have everything crossed that the scan will turn out fine. I guess you may not get the result for a while?
