Feeling shocked again

Hi. I just need to put this down. I was diagnosed with stage 3 lobular cancer a couple of months ago, had surgery and due to start chemo shortly.

The letter from my surgeon said it was a grade 2 tumour but today, I was sitting waiting for an appointment with my blood test paperwork and discovered it said grade 3. I queried this with the nurse and after much checking, the paperwork is correct and the surgeon’s letter was wrong.

I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face again. The nurse assured me that the oncologist is working to it being G3 and the treatment plan is based on that, but I’m feeling so low.

I’m really sorry about this . Sadly mistakes happen . I know someone who was told in letter that her lung cancer was stage 1 but then found out it was stage 4 ( typing error in Roman numerals ). I’m assuming nobody checked the letter for typos .
