The press team have been very busy securing lots of coverage about the lack of information newly diagnosed younger women are given regarding treatment affecting fertility and the options they can consider. You can read the full story here.
This story has been picked up by National papers and TV news chanels. The Telegraph ran a story entitled “Women with breast cancer not being given chance to protect fertility.”
Younger women diagnosed with breast cancer are not being informed of the opportunities to have their eggs frozen, despite the diseas leaving them potentially unable to have children.
This story has also appeared in The Guardian, Mail Online, BBC news, ITV news and The Scotsman, as well as 11 regional publications.
We have also had the stories covered with either a spokesperson or case study on ITV lunchtime news, Sky News Radio, BBC Radio 5live, BBC Radio London and various BBC regional radio stations through BBC GNS
Director of Services, Diana Jupp, was interviewed live on BBC GNS Radio this morning and also appeared on the ITV lunchtime news. One of our nurse specialists, Rachel Rawson, was interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live this morning as well.
