Feverish during chemo ??? advice needed

I am past 3rd round TAC chemo , (last one 24 july ) since yesterday i am having fever push-ups 37.5 to 38 , and body aches, headaches when fever rises. I took the antibotic prescribed ahead from my onco and tomorrow i will do some blood test to see if i need granocyte inj.

But as i value a lot the points of vue i got here and they are very helpfull& meaningful to me , i would appreciate any experience or suggestions

Hi Seda,

It’s good that you’re being seen tomorrow. Maybe today you could ring your bcn/doctor just for advice? There are so many viruses flying around this time of year (I’ve just recovered to swine flu)so it’s worth getting advice, especially if you also have a sore throat and/or runny nose.

Hi Seda we are normally advised to ring chemo unit if temp goes over 37.5 as it can mean neutropenia,maybe you could phone if it is still high.
