Hi Janette,
Not seen Brief Encounter but I will certainly have a look out for it. I did enjoy Ab Fab when it was on TV but I didn’t bother going to see it at cinema. It’s sad that film versions of really good TV programmes are usually disappointing. I have a Cineworld monthly membership and I see quite a lot of films. I end up watching some stinkers but I enjoy the evening out anyway. I must be really easily amused. ? xxx
Hi ladies, I watched the first episode of Orange is the new Black last night on Netflix…oh my word it’s a little on the naughty side! Has anyone else seen it??
Hugs janette xxx
Hi all,
Just finished watching Happy Valley series 2. Loved it as I knew I would. Now onto True Blood series 7. One of my friends lent me Outlander. Has anyone seen that yet?
Janette, I stopped my subscription to Netflix a few months ago as I got Now TV instead to watch Game of Thrones. However, my daughter had been watching Orange is the New Black when we had Netflix and she loved it. xxx
Hi waffles, I’ve just ordered the second series of Happy Valley looking forward to seeing it!
Oh my word has anyone seen the new dating series on channel 4 called Naked Attraction? It’s enough to make anyone blush!
Hugs Janette xx
Jeanette
Funny you should say that about the naked thing …I was flicking channels and found it …just beginning to take it in . Grandson came down the stairs so had to flick quick back to shopping channel!!
Phew …couldn’t get anymore in your face could it ?
Hubby watching Olympics and must confess enjoyed the diving …Phew they are eye candy with six packs ! Not sure about the women’s cycling team outfits …not very flattering !
Hi Janette,
I also noticed Naked Attraction while flicking channels. I didn’t think things like that were allowed on the telly!
Have bought myself series 1 of Vikings so looking forward to that.
Been enjoying the Olympics particularly gymnastics, cycling and boxing but was very put off when the result for the Heavyweight boxing gold was a total fix. It was shocking. The crowd even stayed to boo at the medal ceremony.

Hiya waffles
My hubs is watching Olympics too …I’m not a sports fan but loved the horse dressage yesterday …it was so beautiful to watch the graceful footwork of those lovely horses.
The bonus was UK getting gold too.
Hi Carolyn,
Dressage is a lovely sport. No idea how they manage to train the horses to do that.
Also just saw the little British girl win the bronze medal on the gymnastics floor exercises which was an amazing result for her.
Only problem with the games is the finals of the athletics are on in the early hours of the moning so can’t watch them. xxx
Hello waffles
I had lunch with my daughter today and she has a horse but isn’t a fan of dressage as she says they use spurs and a double bit to control the horse …but it was still beautiful and surely better than making them jump over fences and hurdles !!
Why is tv rubbish …we have sky and there is nothing to watch so him indoors has cricket on again …
Roll on strictly and x factor soon.
Omg …wasent strictly brilliant tonight. Can’t wait for it to start properly.
Yeah …watching x factor now too.
So sad xxxx
Must b going mad …after watching a polished show like strictly …I turn over and watch x factor …I’m curled up laughing at the two sparkly lads that fell out over undercooked chicken !! And they got three yes’s to go through !!
Xxx
Ha ha Jeanette
The only dance I can do is “the wasp dance” especially this time of year !!
Xxxx
Hi Helen.
Yes lovely line up and some nice eye candy this year !!
Looking forward to Mr balls hoofing around the dance floor but hey he might be very entertaining.
Very slick and polished show though.
Carolyn xxxx
I have just seen The Beatles 8 Days a Week film this evening ever so good really amazing , far better than the film I saw last week Ben Hur which got 1 star from me and that was for the 3 D effects ,
Regards Marcelle xxx
Hi Marcelle,
Can’t wait to see 8 days a week. I have a Cineworld membership and this week I saw Hell or High Water which I really liked and also Finding Dory which is a lovely family film. Looking forward to seeing Inferno which is out soon. I think Dan Brown books aren’t that great but for some reason I love the film adaptations. Best wishes xxx
What a lovely photo Helen! xxx
Loving strictly tonight …polished show and Mr balls did ok. But what was the matter with will youngs trousers ? They were too short and didn’t fit ??
Poor love .
