Finally had final chemo today and my god i would not have believed how good it feels.Although i burst into tears when she took the needle out for the last time, really fet as though someone was giving me my life back after the worst 7 months of my life.My marriage was rocky before i was dx with this bc but i can honestly say it has been the bet cure for marriage problems as my husband and sons have stood by me and supported me so much to enable me to get through. I actually feel really priveleged to have had to go through this journey as without it i may have thrown away my marriage and i certainly wouldn’t have known this fantastic website and the equally fantastic people on it existed. Thankyou, thank you to all of you on here that have helped me so much when i have been having doubts about treatment. You are a great bunch and i wish i could give you all a hug to to show how much your help has meant to me.Love and muh gratitude to all at bcc, love christina xxx
Well done Christina

Well done Christina
I have to wait till 13th September for my last one but so looking forward to it
I am not sure i would call breast cancer the best cure for marriage problems but would totally agree that this c***** thing has certainly brought me and my husband closer together. I could not have got through it without him. I have always been fiercely independant but i have had to let him do things for me as i have not been able to do them for myself. Every chemo cycle he has to give me my GSCF injections and the amount of sick bowls he has taken away and cleaned
Big hug back to you

Well done Christina, that is such good news. Nice to hear someone coming to the end of their rocky road. I am only just starting my chemo, so will remember your happy thoughts to get me through the next 6 months.
Take care - lol

Thank you all for your positive replies. Nice to be a member of the survived chemo brigade at long last. As everyone told me on here though doubted it at times it does finally come to a end, you do feel that you have done something really positive and really gave bc the heave ho out of your body for the final time. I know its hard the down days are the toughest when all you want to do is sit and cry but you have to give in, don’t fight whats making you better. It realdoes come to a end and the feeling when it does is worth going through the chemo for. So to all of yo still doing it good luck and i will be thinking of you all and watching for your postings to say you made it to the end. Love christina xxxx
Hi Christina,
I have also finished my chemo and the world just looks fantastic!! Even though I have to undergo 5 weeks of r/therapy, nothing matches the joy of finishing chemo. I couldn’t agree more with you that it really brings you closer together as a couple/family. My husband has just been my rock and my children have been fantastic. It has been so hard to not have the energy to play with my grandchildren at times, (Amelie 2, William 7 mnths, Daniel 8 weeks!) but they were also at times the best painkiller known to man.
I would like to say to everyone, hang in there, the final injection DOES come, eventually, and then it will all have been worth it!!!
Hi Christina
Congratulations -I’m so pleased for you. I’ve just had my 5th chemo and am longing for 31st August when I will have my last. I’ve got to have surgery and rads, but hey, that’ll be a walk in the park !
Can’t wait to be where you are now !
Take Care
Lots of love Julie xx
Hi Christina and all the others who have come to the end of your chemo
Congratulations. Its so lovely to read positive threads of life after chemo and to hear of those finishing treatments - it gives us a chance to realise that there is a light at the end of the tunnel - I’m almost there I have number 7 out of 8 on Wednesday so about 6 weeks time I’ll be able to write in - yeahhhhh!!!
Hi Christina and your fellow ‘chemo survivors’,
Nice one!!! I’m sooooo pleased for you you lucky so and so’s. Must admit I’m a bit (well a lot!) jealous and envious, god I can’t wait for the day my chemo ends. That day seems a long way off at the mo but hearing your tales had made me feel much more positive about the whole thing.
Even though I haven’t reached the end of my chemo yet as I still have 3 more cycles of CMF to go I can totally imagine just how good you must be feeling right now. I think I will definately be a blubbering mess on my last one, even though I’ve got rads and Herceptin afterwards. I remember how good it felt when I had my last Epi so I expect it feels a million times better when its finished for good!
Best of luck to you all as you continue this journey. And to those of us that are going through or about to start chemo, may our side effects be almost non-existent!!
Take care and congratulations once again,
Kelly
