I just wanted to say I finished my Herceptin today. I feel like I have been on such a long journey and am just pleased to be near the end. Struggling a bit emotionally at the moment, but hey, the sun is shining and things look all right with the world from where I’m sitting.
Well done, Cherub! I am at the other end of the journey and am starting Herceptin in the next couple of months - having rads at the mo.
Good luck to you, and I wish you all the very best.
Tracy
Well done Cherub! I am having number 11 of 17 tomorrow so looking forward to joining you soon. If all goes to plan I finish on my husband’s birthday on 7 August.
Good luck to you and hope all goes well for you

Hello Cherub. Well done. I’m just a bit behind you as I’ve got two Herceptins left. I have to admit I’ve got mixed feelings about finishing so I think I understand what you mean about struggling a bit emotionally.
Best wishes and take very good care

Hi Anthi Cherub and all
It is not at all uncommon to have feelings of anxiety and uncertainty at the end of treatment. If you would like to read something about this there is an excellent paper on the cancer counselling website called ‘After treatment finishes’ by Peter Harvey. You can download it here.
You can find it on cancercounselling.org.uk/ resources section.
I hope this helps
Best wishes

Great Stuff Cherub Well Done!
Finished mine 2nd january so it really was a new year in every way.
It’s understandable though to have mixed feelings about it. I was exactly the same.
It’s almost like you feel reasonably “safe” whilst having treatment and then you are left alone to get on with it.
SCARY!
Best wishes
