I had my first FEC treatment on 25th Oct and had considerable nausea that afternoon and evening and through the night. This however has subsided very quickly and i feel relatively good. Does it get worse with every session, and will i incur more side effects or is this a realistic pattern of how it will continue?
Please tell your BCN and chemo team that you were sick. They can give you stronger anti-sickness stuff and these days you dont need to tolerate sickness with chemo. Yes, chemo does get more tedious as it goes along but dont hesitate to ask for support as there are all sorts of things they can offer you to help. I finished my six FEC sessions last year but remember it well. I got through it and so can you - just dont be afraid to ask for help!
Hello
I had the same sickness that you did when I had my first chemo the week before last. Spoke to my chemo nurse and they have changed my anti sickness drugs for the next session - I really hope they will work.
The chemo really knocked me about and I was in bed for a few days.
Hope you can speak to your chemo nurse and see if they will change your anti sickness meds.
